Xiaomi Mi 6X with 5.99-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 660, 6GB RAM, 12MP + 20MP dual rear cameras, Android 8.1 announced

Xiaomi just announced the Mi 6X, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in China, as it had promised. It packs a 5.99-inch FHD+ 18:9 display, is powered by Snapdragon 660 AIE SoC with up to 6GB RAM, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI 9, has a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.75 aperture, Sony IMX486 sensor along with a 20-megapixel secondary rear camera with Sony IMX376 sensor to capture depth information for portrait shots with AI and also has intelligent scent detection that can detect 12 different scenes and also instantly retouch images of 206 different scenes in 25 different categories. It also has the same 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor for the front camera with soft LED flash and AI beautification. Xiaomi Mi 6X teased in more images, video ahead of tomorrow’s announcement

Xiaomi is all set to unveil its mid-range Mi 6X smartphone in China tomorrow. The company recently confirmed 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version of the phone and the box leak revealed no headphone jack and Snapdragon 660 SoC, now it has a teased the phone in Flame Red color and a in a new video commercial that highlights the features of the phone including its A.I dual rear cameras and the selfie camera.

Xiaomi schedules an event on April 25 to introduce a new smartphone, Mi 6X expected

Xiaomi introduced its Mi MIX 2S smartphone in China last month. Now the has scheduled an event  on April 25th to introduced a new Mi series smartphone, which could be Mi 6X that was certified by TENAA recently. The event takes place at Wuhan University, the alma mater of the Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun in Hubei province Wuhan, China. Xiaomi Mi 6X with 6-inches FHD+ 18:9 display, dual rear cameras live images surface

Xiaomi Mi 5X aka the Mi A1 for the Indian market might be getting a successor dubbed as Mi 6X, unsurprisingly. The phone leaked in case renders a while ago and today it has again surfaced in hands-on live images revealing the design in its full glory. Going by the looks, the Mi 6X looks to be having iPhone X-style vertical dual-rear camera arrangement.
