Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone in India back in February, which went on sale exclusively on Flipkart as well as Mi.com from February 22nd. Even though it had been close to 7 weeks since it went on sale,  Redmi Note 5 Pro goes out of stock in seconds every week. Xiaomi brings Split Screen to Marshmallow devices [Update: Now rolling out]

Update April 10th: Xiaomi has rolled out Split Screen for the devices running on Marshmallow based MIUI Global Beta ROM (Closed Beta testing team), the feature will be rolled out to all MIUI Global Beta ROM users this Friday. Quick Switch is also now rolling out for Marshmallow devices.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 chipset which is the successor to the Snapdragon 660 has not yet been announced officially and we keep hearing about the chipset every now and then. It is reported that the the chipset will be manufactured on a 10nm process and feature Adreno 615 GPU. Xiaomi has also started manufacturing smartphones at its power bank plant in partnership with Hipad Technology in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, bringing the total smartphone manufacturing plants in India to Six. After several leaks, last week official Black Shark account on weibo and Qualcomm China confirmed that it the gaming phone will be powered by Snapdragon 845. Now it has announced that the phone will be announced on April 13th and also confirmed that Xiaomi has invested in the company.

Xiaomi showcases features of Xiao AI voice assistant in video

Xiaomi introduced  Xiao AI, the company’s own voice assistant with it Mi AI Speaker that was announced back in July 2017. It is also present in Mi Mix 2S that was introduced in China last week.
