Xiaomi shares open for trade in Hong Kong below IPO price but it is confident about the future

Shares of Xiaomi opened for trade today under the stock code 1810 at IPO price of HK$ 17 per share, which was in the lower range, but it opened at HK$ 16.60 less than the IPO price, and later dropped to HK$ 16.30. The company last month expected the offer price range to be between HK$17 and HK$22 per share in an aim to raise anywhere between US$ 4.72 billion and US$ 6.1 billion with a valuation between 54.3 billion and 70.3 billion. Xiaomi appoints former Jabong executive Muralikrishnan B as India COO

Xiaomi India today announced the appointment of Muralikrishnan B as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). He was India Head of eBay.in in 2011 and later he joined Jabong as COO, which Xiaomi India Head and VP, Manu Kumar Jain co-founded in 2012. New Xiaomi Mi Wireless Charger gets certified by the WPC, could be introduced along with Mi MIX 3

Xiaomi introduced 7.5W Qi wireless fast charger along with the Mi MIX 2S earlier this year, now a new Mi Wireless Charger (WPC01ZM) has been certified by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). This reveals that it will be a 5W charger and has the Qi version number v1.2.4. It shows a metal-like finish and a LED notification light. Compared to the white colored charger that came with the Mi MIX 2S, this has a black color.

Xiaomi Mi Max 3 retail box teased by the CEO ahead of official announcement

It has been about two weeks since the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 got certified by TENAA in China. Now the company’s CEO Lei Jun has finally shared an image of the retail box of the smartphone. He also said that everyone is talking about the Mi Max 3 conference and people are asking to release it early. However he did not share the official announcement date for the smartphone. Xiaomi Mi A1 Android 8.1 Oreo stable update finally starts rolling out [Download link]

Xiaomi launched Mi A1 back in September last year under Android One programme in collaboration with Google with an aim to keep the Android version updated for next couple of years. At the event, Xiaomi and Google promised regular security patch updates every month along with Android Oreo in 2017 itself for Mi A1.

Xiaomi Mi 6X Hatsune Miku Special Edition smartphone announced

Xiaomi has announced Mi 6X Hatsune Miku Special Edition in China, over a year after it introduced the Redmi Note 4X Hatsune Miku Edition. It has the same specifications as the Mi 6X smartphone that was introduced recently, but comes in new green color and comes in a unique package that has a Limited edition Mi Power bank, soft protective case printed with Hatsune Miku image, metal nameplate and the the phone has an unique Hatsune Miku image engraved along with Hatsune Miku’s signature at the back. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro sales cross 5 million in India in 4 months of launch

Xiaomi today announced that its Redmi Note 5 series that includes the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro have crossed 5 million sales in India, since it was launched back in February this year.  Xiaomi says that it’s the fastest selling phone series in India to cross the 5 million mark in the given time across all platforms. Xiaomi Mi Band 3 sales cross 1 million in just 17 days

Xiaomi introduced the Mi Band 3 along with the Mi 8  in China last month, and the fitness tracker when on sale on June 5th. Xiaomi announces Mi Explorer program in Spain, Mi A2 Android One smartphone expected to launch soon

Xiaomi has a tradition of involving Mi Fans in device exploration before the launch of devices, these explorers get devices before the official launch and are expected to participate in challenges given by the company. Before Redmi Note 3 India launch company recruited 100 Mi Fans under the Mi generation program in 2016 and last year, company recruited 50 hardcore Mi Fans as Explorers to test and explore Redmi Note 4 before its official launch in India. Xiaomi launches Flame Red Redmi Note 5 (Redmi Note 5 Pro) in China

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone in India in Black, Gold, Rose Gold and Blue colors earlier this year. Later it introduced the same phone as Redmi Note 5 with better specifications in same colors in China. Now the company has introduced Flame Red color variant of the smartphone in China. Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Pro with Snapdragon 710, 6GB RAM, Dual speakers surface

Xiaomi Mi Max 3 with model numbers M1804E4A, M1804E4T and M1804E4C got certified by TENAA in China last week. This revealed 6.99-inch Full HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio screen, Snapdragon 636 SoC with up to 6GB of RAM,  Android 8.1 (Oreo), 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX363 sensor, along with a secondary rear camera with AI portraits. Now details about the Mi Max 3 Pro has surfaced in China, which is rumored to pack a Snapdragon 710 SoC and 6GB of RAM.

Xiaomi has finally announced the Mi Pad 4, as it had promised. It has an 8-inch Full HD screen with 16:10 aspect ratio, and the company says that it is 9.4% smaller than the previous generation making it comfortable for one-handed usage.
