Xiaomi Mi A2 Android One smartphone with 5.99-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 660, 6GB RAM, 12MP + 20MP dual rear cameras announced

Xiaomi just announced Mi A2, the company’s latest Android One smartphones at an event in Spain, as it had promised. It is the global version of the Mi 6X which was introduced in April, has a 5.99-inch FHD+ 18:9 display, is powered by Snapdragon 660, has a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.75 aperture, Sony IMX486 sensor along with a 20-megapixel secondary rear camera with Sony IMX376 sensor to capture depth information for portrait shots with AI, has intelligent scene detection and has auto sensor section . It also has the same 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor for the front camera with soft LED flash and AI beautification.

Samsung and Xiaomi accounted for 9.9 million smartphone shipments in India in Q2 2018: Canalys

According to Canalys, Samsung, and Xiaomi each shipped a total of 9.9 million smartphones in the last quarter in India. Together, both the companies now account for a 60% market share which is up from 43% the same time last year. Xiaomi just announced Mi Max 3, the latest smartphone in the Mi Max series in China, as it had promised. It has a 6.9-inch FHD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display with 1.3mm slim bezels on the sides, is powered by Snapdragon 636 with up to 6GB of RAM, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI on top, has a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual PD focus along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera for AI and has AI features for the camera that can detect 206 scenes, comes with AI voice assistant, and there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with support for face unlock. Last week Xiaomi confirmed that it will unveil the Mi Max 3 smartphone in China on July 19th. Yesterday, Xiaomi co-founder and President Bin Lin shared images of the smartphone in Blue Black and Gold colors. Today the company has posted the detailed specifications of the smartphone. All these coincide with earlier rumors. The company also revealed AI features for the camera that can detect 206 scenes, AI voice assistant, AI face unlock and more. Xiaomi Mi Max 3 with 6.9-inch FHD+ display, 5500mAh battery teased in images ahead of July 19 announcement

Last week Xiaomi confirmed that it will unveil the Mi Max 3 smartphone in China on July 19th. Today Xiaomi co-founder and President Bin Lin has shared images of the smartphone in Blue Black and Gold colors. He said that even though the phone has a large 6.9-inch screen, the phone doesn’t feel big in hand. He also said that the 5500mAh battery will offer long battery life.

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Android One smartphone confirmed to be announced alongside Mi A2 on July 24

Last week Xiaomi sent out invites for the global launch of a new smartphone in Spain on July 24th. Yesterday the company started teasing the launch of the successor of Mi A1 smartphone. Today, the company said that it will be launching two smartphones at the event, as expected. The second smartphone that will join the Mi A2 will be the Mi A2 Lite, the global version of the Redmi 6 Pro which was introduced last month, and even passed through the FCC  recently. Xiaomi Mi A1 Android 8.1 update resumes with July 2018 Android security patch, SMS issue fix

Xiaomi Mi A1 finally got stable Android 8.1 (Oreo) update for last month, but it was pulled quickly after users started complaining about the SMS bug that wipes entire SMS history after updating. After testing a beta ROM earlier this month, Xiaomi today has started rolling out a new update for the Mi A1 A1 userse to fix the issue. Last week Xiaomi sent out invites for the global launch of a new smartphone in Spain on July 24th where it is expected to introduce global version of the Mi 6X. Xiaomi has introduced new Quartz Watch under its Mijia or Mi Ecosystem. It is a hybrid smartwatch that comes with a standard 40 mm dial that is just 3.2 mm at its thinnest point. The small dial shows step count and connects to Android or iPhone over Bluetooth. Call notification, Reminder and Alarm with vibration. It has a stainless steel case, water-resistant body and a curved back.

Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite Android One smartphones listed online ahead of July 24 announcement

Yesterday Xiaomi sent out invites for the global launch of a new smartphone in Spain on July 24th where it is expected to introduce global version of the Mi 6X which was introduced  back in April. Now the smartphone has surfaced on a online retail site in Portugal along with the Mi A2 Lite, which should be the global version of the Redmi 6 Pro which was introduced last month, and even passed through the FCC  recently.

Xiaomi schedules global launch event in Spain on July 24, Mi A2 Android One smartphone expected

After launching the global Mi Explorer program to offer its fans a chance to travel to Spain, Xiaomi has officially scheduled its global launch event in Spain, Madrid on July 24, where it is expected to introduce the Mi A2, the global version of the Mi 6X which was introduced  back in April.
