Xiaomi Redmi 7 expected to launch in India alongside Redmi Y3 on April 24
We already know that the Redmi Y3, selfie-focused smartphone with a 32-megapixel front will launch in India on April 24th. Now the company has posted that it has shipped 7 million Y series smartphones since the launch, and also said that it has more surprises lined up at the launch hinting at number 7, so the company could launch the Redmi 7 alongside.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 goes on open sale in India
Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 smartphone in India starting at Rs. 9999 in February, and the phone went on sale starting from March 6th. After six weeks of weekly sale, the company today started selling the phone through open sale on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores.

Xiaomi has finally released the list of smartphones eligible for Android Pie/Oreo update, these devices are supposed to get Android Pie/Oreo update sometime before Q2 2019. Xiaomi has mentioned that the smartphones which have already received two major Android updates are unlikely to receive further Android updates. Researcher finds URL spoofing vulnerability on Mi browser and Mint Browser, Mi Security team acknowledges the issue
Arif Khan, an independent security researcher has recently discovered an issue on Xiaomi Browsers including Mi Browser and recently launched Mint Browser. The vulnerability (CVE-2019-10875) was found to be present in Global version of these browsers and not on the Chinese version, which as per the researcher might be intentional.
