Sony Mobile rolls out my Xperia remote security service globally

Sony has announced that they have started rolling out free remote security service called my Xperia for Xperia devices globally. Sony rolled it out starting from Nordic countries back in January 2013. Now after several months of beta testing and tweaks, the app has been graduated to stable version. This would let the Xperia users find the device remotely when it is lost, protect private information by locking the device or delete all the information on the device. Sony Xperia i1 Honami renders surface, packs 20MP camera with 4K video recording

Images of the Sony Xperia i1 surfaced last week, now the press renders of the phone has surfaced online. Xperiablog.net got hold of these images that looks similar to the previous leaks. The new images reveals a aluminium frame and a dedicated camera button on the right side. The previous leak showed the rear part of the phone but it did not have a Xenon flash. The phone’s rear part is not revealed in these renders so it is not clear whether the final device would have a Xenon flash.

The first blurry image of the Xperia i1 codenamed ‘Honami’ surfaced earlier this month along with the rumored specs, now a clear image of the device has surfaced on a Brazilian website Techtudo. It confirms that the phone would have a 20-megapixel rear camera but it would not come with interchangeable lenses as rumored. The top image shows the Xperia i1 in the center with the Xperia Z Ultra and the Xperia ZQ (Brazilian variant of the Xperia ZL). Sony Mobile has also announced the Xperia C, a mid-range device in the Xperia series. It has a 5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, Exmor R sensor and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It is capable of recording 1080p HD videos. Sony unveils the SmartWatch 2 for Android with one touch NFC

Sony has finally announced the Xperia Z Ultra, the company’s latest flagship phone in the Xperia range. It has a 6.44-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Triluminos Display with with X-Reality engine that would offer rich, natural colours, powered by 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with Sony Exmor RS sensor, 1080p video recording and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It is just 6.5mm thick and weighs 212 grams. Sony has finally started rolling out the Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the Xperia Z soon after the roll out for the Xperia ZL. The version number for the update is 10.3.A.0.423 . The update is now available for Spain and the Ukraine for the LTE model (C6603) and for the carrier variants in Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary and the Netherlands. Tweets from the official Sony Xperia hints at the successor of the Sony SmartWatch that is expected to be unveiled at the Mobile Asia Expo 2013 in Shanghai next week. Sony unveiled the first SmartWatch back in January 2012 with a 1.3” (128×128 pixels) OLED touch display that can wirelessly and discreetly access calls, messages and applications. Sony i1 Honami Camera phone leaks in blurry image, rumored specs surface

Sony i1 (codenamed Honami), the company’s upcoming flagship camera phone has been in the news for quite some time.  This would be the first device in Sony’s new philosophy – One Sony strategy announced at the MWC 2012. Now a blurry image of the device has been revealed. Previous rumor revealed that the phone would feature a 1/1.6″ Exmor RS stacked sensor with Sony Cybershot G Lens, the new rumor says that it would feature a 2/3″ or 1/1.5″ sensor. The report also reveals that the phone would come with interchangeable lenses. It also reveals a 5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 800 processor and Android 4.2.2 with a new Xperia UI. Sony Xperia ZR that went on pre-order online last week is now available for purchase from online retailers in India. The durable smartphones was announced last month and has IP55 and IP58 ratings for dust and water resistance. It has a 4.55-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) Reality display with mobile Bravia Engine 2 and is powered by 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ 8064 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It packs a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor for HDR images and offers underwater image and video capture since it is water resistant up to 1.50 meters for up to 30 minutes. Sony Xperia ZU images and detailed specs surface

Images of the rumored Sony Xperia Z Ultra or Sony Xperia ZU phablet has surfaced online. Taiwanese website ePrice has posted about the Sony Phablet. The report confirms the 6.4-inch 1080p Triluminos with X-Reality for Mobile display, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and stylus support as teased by Sony in the press invite.
