Sony has announced a SmartDock, multifunctional docking station exclusively for the Xperia P smartphone that was announced earlier today. It offers  connectivity to multiple screens, turning the smartphone into an entertainment hub for the living room. Sony Xperia P Announced with 4-inch display, 8MP Camera and NFC

 

Sony has announced its new upcoming smartphone, the Sony Xperia P at the company’s press event held at MWC 2012 Barcelona. The phone comes with an Aluminium uni-body, and features a dual-core processor, 4-inch WhiteMagic display, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p video recording and GPS. Sony Xperia U announced with 3.5-inch display and 1 GHz Dual-core processor

Sony Mobile has announced the Xperia U. It has similar design as the Sony Xperia S but it is a mid-end smartphone. It has 3.5-inch Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine and 1 GHz dual-core processor. It is NFC enabled and has changable colour caps at the bottom of the phone. It has xLoud and 3D surround sound audio technology for crisp and loud listening. The transparent element illuminates to match the colour of photos viewed in the gallery or the album art of music tracks currently playing. Sony releases Android 4.0 beta ROM for select Xperia smartphones

Sony has released Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) beta ROM for select Xperia smartphones. They launched they alpha ROM as a preview last December, but this beta version brings a lot of improvements including functioning FM radio and GSM Radios. This has UI elements from ICS including some new UI features present in the Xperia S that was announced at the CES last month. Sony announces 8MP and 13MP CMOS smartphone image sensors

Sony has announced new 8MP and 13MP CMOS image sensors for smartphones, tablets, and other devices. These are back-illuminated stacked CMOS image sensors that would offer faster signal processing and lower power consumption. This camera would feature Sony’s unique RGBW Coding function that has low noise and high picture quality in the captured images even in low-light conditions. The Sony’s HDR (High Dynamic Range) Movie function in the 13MP camera would offer brilliant color to be captured even in bright conditions. Sony Xperia NX and Xperia acro HD announced for NTT Docomo

Sony has announced Xperia acro (HD SO-03D) and the Xperia NX (SO-02D) for NTT Docomo in Japan. The Xperia NX (SO-02D) comes under the Docomo NEXT series and is a variant of Xperia S that was announced at CES 2012. The Xperia acro (HD SO-03D) comes under Docomo with series. Both these phones comes with 4.3-inch (1280 × 720 pixels) HD Reality Display, 12MP camera auto focus camera with 1080p HD video recording and 1.3MP secondary front facing camera, 1.5GHz dual core CPU and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) that is upgradable to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Sony Xperia S is the first smartphone under the Sony brand in the Xperia NXT next generation series announced at CES. It comes with 4.3 inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, 12MP camera with LED flash that can take shots in just 1.5 seconds directly from standby mode.
