Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Unboxing and First Look

Microsoft announced the Surface Pro 3, the latest iteration of its own hybrid efforts under the “Surface Pro” moniker, at an event in New York last month. Panos Panay, the guy heading the Surface group, kept referencing the Macbook Air as the Surface Pro 3’s competitor and got the audience intrigued, including us, watching the live webcast from afar. But we have now got the chance to try one out in person, as the device has started shipping in the US and Canada, with units available even without pre-order. So, what are our first impressions like? LG G3 global roll out begins June 27th starting from Asia

LG unveiled the LG G3, the company’s latest flagship last month. It went on sale in Korea soon after the launch, today LG has announced that the LG G3 would release globally starting from June 27th. It packs a 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD display, powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with new flat UI, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flashes, a new Laser AF and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. I was at the Microsoft Store in downtown San Francisco yesterday and store employees were readying a new sign at the entrance of the store. It read “Trade in your MacBook Air and get up to $650 toward a Surface Pro 3”. Microsoft has been heavily comparing its latest Surface Pro 3 Tablet with the Apple Macbook Air and looks like Microsoft wants to send out a bold message. Intex has launched Aqua N15 and Aqua i14, the company’s first smartphones running Android 4.4 (KitKat). The Aqua N15 has a 4-inch FWVA screen and the Aqua i14 comes with a 5-inch FWVGA screen. Both these smartphones are powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processors, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Apple’s iWatch to reportedly come in Sports and Designer models

Last week Reuters reported that the iWatch will boast a 2.5 inch screen. Today, another report is suggesting that the iWatch will come in two different models. Pocketnow is stating that the iWatch will come in ‘Sports’ and ‘Designer’ style with former being rectangular with a rubber strap and later being round and stainless steel.

HTC Volantis with 8.9″ display, Tegra K1 processor leaked as upcoming Nexus tablet

HTC hasn’t been entirely secretive about their plans to launch a new tablet later this year and the latest rumors seem to corroborate those whispers. It is believed that the company might have been tasked with the production of Google’s next Nexus tablet. HTC had been responsible for making the first Nexus handset ie the G1.

Initially known as the Nexus 8 and believed to be codenamed the Flounder, latest news indicated that the handset will be called the HTC Volantis. The tablet will pack a 8.9″ display with a resolution of 2048×1440 pixels. This resolution suggests that the tablet will approach a 4:3 aspect ratio. This would be the same as seen on Apple’s iPad series of tablets and has proven to be more conducive for reading. Acer Chromebook CB5 powered by Tegra K1 surfaces

Acer’s latest Chromebook CB5 has been leaked online by a Swedish retailer. The CB5 features a 13.3-inch HD screen and is powered by a powerful Nvidia Tegra K1 CPU rather than a traditional Intel-based chip, according to a website’s listing.

Xolo Q600s the company’s first budget smartphone running Android 4.4 (Kitkat) was launched last month. We brought you the unboxing of the smartphone recently, here we have the benchmarks of the device. It is powered by a quad-core Broadcom BCM 23550 processor clocked at  1.2 GHz per core with 312 MHz Videocore IV GPU. It has a 4.5-inch (960 ×540 pixels) qHD screen and 1GB of RAM. Oppo launched the Oppo R1 (R829), successor of last year’s Oppo R819 in India April in India priced at Rs. 26990. We brought you the unboxing and the benchmarks of the device recently, here we have the camera samples from the smartphone. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with Fujitsu ISP,  1/3.2″ Sony IMX179 sensor with pixel size of 1.4 microns, f/2.0 aperture, 5-element lens and blue glass filter. It also has a single LED flash.
