Gionee has launched F103, the company’s latest smartphone in the new fashion and lifestyle F Series in India. It packs a 5-inch HD IPS display, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core 64-bit processor and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Amigo UI 3.1. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It is just 7.9mm thick, features mirror glass back and a metal frame. Meizu to offer doorstep servicing facility, open more than 40 service centres in India

Meizu has announced that it will offer doorstep delivery repair services for its customers in India. It already has 28 service centres across India, and it announced at the MX5 launch that it plans to open more than 40 service centres across 20 cities in the near future.

Samsung has announced its Gear S2 range of smartwatches – Gear S2, Gear S2 3G and Gear S2 classic, ahead of IFA 2015. Last year it announced only one version called the Gear S with 3G support. All these have a 1.2-inch ( 360×360 pixels) Circular Super AMOLED displays, rotating bezel and run on Tizen based wearable platform. These also have Home and Back buttons to access notifications and applications easily.The Gear S2 3G has built-in e-SIM support that lets you independently make and receive calls, without connecting to a device and also offers 3G support. Google introduces Android Wear smartwatch support for iPhone

Google has finally launched Android Wear app for iOS, so that Android Wear smartwatches will now work with Apple iPhone 5 or above (with iOS 8.2 or later). Once paired, it offers alerts for calls, messages and notifications and syncs you fitness data, but it currently doesn’t have support for third-party apps and integrates only with Google Apps like Google Search, Calendar and Gmail. It supports third-party watch faces though, unlike Apple Watch. It also lets you use ‘Ok Google’ voice commands to set Google Now reminders, open the Weather app, set timers, and more. Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 to support Smart Protect – Real-time, on-device anti-malware technology

Qualcomm Technologies just announced Snapdragon Smart Protect, anti-malware technology that will be supported by upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Smart Protect will provide real-time, on-device detection of unknown (zero-day) malware threats. It uses advanced machine learning-based behavioral analysis to look at actual behavior of device applications in real time and almost instantly detect and classify any application behavior that is considered suspicious or anomalous, said the company.

Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace (J110H), the latest budget smartphone from the company that was surfaced earlier today is now on sale in India from offline retailers. It has a 4.3-inch (480 x 800 pixels) Super AMOLED display that you rarely get in budget smartphones, but it has 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage, which might not attract the buyers. It has a similar design and almost similar specifications as the Galaxy J1 that went on sale in India earlier this year. Xiaomi Mi Edge with curved display leaked, tipped for October launch

Xiaomi is tipped to be working on a smartphone that has a curved display similar to the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. A new report from Chinese website Mobile dad says that the phone will be called as Mi Edge.
