MediaTek Helio X30 10nm Deca-Core SoC with up to 8GB RAM support and Helio P25 announced

MediaTek today officially introduced its flagship Helio X30 Deca-Core processor at an event in China and detailed its specifications. It is based on 10nm TSMC process and replaces two ARM Cortex A72 cores in the X20 with ARM Cortex A73 cores clocked at 2.8GHz. Clock speeds of ARM Cortex-A53 cores have also been increased and it has four Cortex-A35 CPUs as well replacing the Cortex-A35 cores. X30 promises 53% improved power savings and 43% better performance than the Helio X20. It supports LPDDR4 RAM up to 8GB and up to 28-megapixel dual ISPs. Meizu MX6 Benchmarks – Deca-Core MediaTek Helio X20 processor

Meizu introduced its flagship MX6 smartphone last month. We brought you the unboxing of the phone recently, here we have the benchmarks. The MX6 is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor that has two clusters of four ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.39GHz per core and two bigger ARM Cortex-A72 cores clocked at 1.85GHz per core with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM, packs a  5.5-inch 1080p display and runs on Flyme OS 5.2 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). Check out the synthetic benchmark scores below. MediaTek Pump Express 3.0 fast-charging tech can charge phones from 0 to 70% in 20 minutes

MediaTek just introduced Pump Express 3.0, its fastest battery charging technology yet. This promises to charge smartphone battery from 0 to 70% in just 20 minutes and 5 minutes of charge promises four hours talk time. “That’s almost twice as fast as competing solutions currently on the market and five times faster than conventional charging,” said the company. MediaTek MT2511 bio-sensing SoC for health and fitness devices announced

MediaTek has announced the MT2511, it’s first bio-sensing analog front-end (AFE) chip designed for health and fitness devices. The MT2511 enables bio signal acquisition through electrocardiography (ECG) and photoplethysmography (PPG) simultaneously.
