MediaTek just introduced Pump Express 3.0, its fastest battery charging technology yet. This promises to charge smartphone battery from 0 to 70% in just 20 minutes and 5 minutes of charge promises four hours talk time. “That’s almost twice as fast as competing solutions currently on the market and five times faster than conventional charging,” said the company. MediaTek has announced the MT2511, it’s first bio-sensing analog front-end (AFE) chip designed for health and fitness devices. The MT2511 enables bio signal acquisition through electrocardiography (ECG) and photoplethysmography (PPG) simultaneously.

MediaTek has announced Helio P20, its second generation processor in the P series which is aimed at sub flagship smartphones. The Helio P20 2.3GHz Cortex-A53 CPUs and new Mali T880 GPU clocked at 900MHz.
