Sony Mobile has finally started rolling out the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the 2012 Xperia devices starting from the Xperia T (9.1.A.0.489) and the Xperia V (v 9.1.A.0.490), as they promised. The HTC Butterfly launched very recently in India for a price of Rs.45,990, making it one of the costliest phones to buy here. Karbonn Smart A111, a new dual SIM Android Smartphone is now available from online retailer Flipkart. It has a 5-inch (480 x 800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), similar to Karbonn A21 and A9+, that were launched last year. It has a 5MP auto focus camera at the back and a front-facing camera.
HCL officially launched the ME V1, the company’s latest Android tablet in the ME series along with the ME U1 and ME Y3. Here we have a hands-on photos of the tablet. It went on sale in India last month, and features a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It is powered by a 1 GHz cortex A8 CPU with GC430 GPU. This tablet has a SIM card slot that offers 2G data connectivity. It is also capable of making voice calls and sending text messages. Samsung has announced two new Android Smartphones, the Galaxy Young and the Galaxy Fame. These smartphones are powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). The Galaxy Young has a 3.27-inch ( 480 × 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and the Galaxy Fame has a 3.5-inch ( 480 × 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display. The Galaxy Young has a 3MP rear camera, while the Galaxy Fame comes with a 5MP auto focus camera with LED Flash and a VGA front-facing camera. Micromax A89 Ninja, a new Android smartphone in the Ninja series is now on sale in India from online retailer Flipkart. It has a 3.97-inch (480 x 800 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It is powered by a dual-core 1 GHz Mediatek MT6577 processor similar to the Micromax A110 and the A90S, that were launched last year . It has a 3 Megapixel rear camera. Long time back in August 2012, we had seen the Xiaomi MI-2 launch in China with it being the successor to the first MIUI phone, from the makers of the MIUI ROMs for Android. It has a 4.3-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is one of the first devices to pack the APQ8064 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with Adreno 320 Graphics. It runs on the MIUI ROM based on Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean). We had some hands on time with the Xiaomi MI-2 at the International CES 2013 and here is a hands on video demo of it.
