Google has released the third Developer Preview for Android 12 weeks before the Android I/O. This comes after its first Android 12 preview release in February, and Developer Preview 2 in March. Having unused apps is quite a common occurrence among Android users. To reduce the impact of these apps on the device, Google is reportedly developing a feature in Android 12, where the temporary files stored by the app would be deleted, freeing up storage.
OnePlus rolled out OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 to OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7T and 7T Pro last month. Soon after the roll-out it temporarily paused the update since some users reported bugs. Google Lens, an image recognition technology developed by Google, is coming to Google Photos on the desktop web, as per the latest report. With this, Google Photos will be able to identify text through the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) functionality of Lens on the web. Earlier this week LG announced that it will exit the smartphone market by the end of July. At that time the company confirmed that it will provide service support and software updates for customers of existing mobile products for a period of time which will vary by region. Today it has confirmed 3 generations of Android OS updates for its premium models released in 2019 and later and 3 generations of OS updates for other models released in 2020. OnePlus launched the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro smartphones last month. The phones are getting a new OxygenOS 11.2.2.2 update that brings several camera improvements including better sharpness, noise and white balance for the rear camera, improved white balance for the front camera and more after feedback from the users. Recently Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 10 series smartphones running Android 11 with MIUI 12 skin on top. While, most of the Redmi Note series smartphones are yet to receive Android 11, it is almost confirmed that Redmi Note 7 series smartphones, launched in Feb 2019, will not be getting Android 11 update officially. So, if you still want to keep using your Redmi Note 7 Pro with the latest Android version, you will have to take things into your hands and try out a custom ROM.

After months of delays, OnePlus has finally started rolling out Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 update for the OnePlus 7T and the OnePlus 7T Pro smartphones. OxygenOS 11 beta had always on display feature, but the stable version doesn’t have it, but it might come in another update in the future. Some users are also reporting camera issues with the update, so it is not clear if the company will push another update to fix it.
