Looks like Google is bringing one more Nexus device soon to India but in this case a slightly old tablet the Nexus 10. The Nexus 10 was announced last year along with the Nexus 7 and Nexus 4 and went on sale in November 2012. Almost a year later there is an indication of this Android tablet coming to India on the Google Play Store when there are in fact rumors about the Nexus 10 version 2. The pricing is mentioned as Rs.29999 and the same tablet is sold in USA for $399 before taxes which is roughly about Rs.27000 approximately which is a tad high for a WiFi only Android tablet. The Nexus 10 is actually made by Samsung and has some interesting specs.

Google released the Nexus 5 last week, that is coming soon to India. We already know that the phone is powered by the latest Snapdragon 800 chip from Qualcomm. The company has announced that Nexus 5 also features the Qualcomm QFE1100 Envelope Tracking chip, the innovative Qualcomm RF360 front-end that allows OEMs to develop a single, global 4G LTE design. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 that was launched back in September was the first phone to use the world’s first envelope tracking (ET) technology for 3G/4G LTE devices. The Nexus 5 was just announced by LG and Google, but had leaked like a broken cauldron over the internet for the past few weeks and even months. The phone has a 5 inch full HD IPS screen with LG’s own in-cell touch technology and is powered by the blazing fast Snapdragon 800 processor, among many other hardware features. It also runs on the latest version of Android – 4.4 KitKat which has been spruced up with new user interface changes, a changed dialer, and a lot more under the hood for developers to take advantage of. Now that the phone has been announced, we think it might not take long to arrive in India as the listing has already shown up on the Indian Play Store.

The long rumored Google Nexus 5 is finally official and it brings with a brand new version of Android as well. Google has opted for top of the line specifications for the handset and we get to see a blazing fast 2.3Ghz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor onboard. There’s also 2GB of RAM. All that power will be pushing pixels to the edge to edge 4.95 inch 1080p display. The battery on the phone is a bit disappointing at 2,300 mAh however you’ll still be able to keep it juiced up wirelessly thanks to Qi support. Google is either very bad at keeping things under wraps or it has just found a new way of promoting its future products. Last year’s Google Nexus 4 launch happened only after everyone was familiar with its specifications and because of that, Nexus 4 was declared as one of the worst kept secrets prior to launch. Like how the Nexus 5 is expected to succeed over the Nexus 4 in terms of specifications, it has also succeeded in leaking more times than its predecessor. After all the numerous rumors and leaks, WIND Mobile from Canada made the pre-registration page for Google Nexus 5 live even before Google announced their next flagship.

Another year, another Nexus smartphone and another bar story. The relationship between bars and yet to be announced phones never ceases to amuse the internet folks. A couple of weeks ago, just ahead of the IFA, Google announced their next version of Android – 4.4 KitKat with some theatrics and “accidentally” showed off the next Nexus smartphone in their video. Recent images from FCC filings have also identified the same device and it shows stronger evidence of a new Nexus device.
Yesterday, a Google employee supposedly left a Nexus 5 device unattended while it was put for charging in a bar(Yes, you heard it right, A bar) and an employee of the bar was able to make a quick video and get a couple of images of the supposed Nexus 5. The images show that the device is quite identical to the one spotted at FCC filings and the one Google showed off in their video. It has the Nexus logo at the back in horizontal orientation and there is a huge camera which was seen in the video. There is a LG logo at the bottom and a Not for Sale text above it. The design language seems to be quite similar to the Nexus 4, but with less rounded corners and a bigger screen. There are no navigation keys which is quite typical of a Nexus device.
The boot screen shown in the images supposedly belongs to Android 4.4 KitKat, but it seems quite similar to the ones on the Google Play Edition phones. And the video shows just the lockscreen of what is believed to be Android 4.4. KitKat.
The rumored specifications of Nexus 5 include
- 5inch 1080p True-Full HD IPS display
- Snapdragon 800 SoC

What do you think of the new Nexus 5? Is it impressive enough?
Just ahead of the IFA, Google revealed that their next version of Android will be Android 4.4 KitKat in a surprising manner with no events or anything of that. Last year, Google Nexus 4 was launched in November along with Android 4.2 Jellybean and looks like Google are getting ready to replace their flagship smartphone device. In the past, there have been rumors flying around that Motorola has been roped in build the next Nexus smartphone device. Certain rumors hinted at LG to repeat its favor last year and nothing was confirmed until Google released a video for Android 4.4 KitKat in which Google may have teased the new Nexus 5. Rumors are floating high about who will be producing the next Nexus device. Earlier this year, we had rumors that LG would be the one to produce it, but recent rumors indicate that Motorola would be doing it. But new reports from South Korean website, MyDrivers point to LG as the producer of next Nexus.

Rumours of a Motorola made Nexus device were ripe once Google acquired the mobile giant, but plans never solidified, citing reasons like “Google not impressed with Moto’s devices” etc. With LG taking charge of the program last year with the Nexus 4, Motorola was left to work on the Moto X, a Google inspired smartphone that is possibly the first device to come out of this acquisition. But this was no Nexus, it didn’t run the latest operating system nor updates will be pushed by Google, so yet again we were deprived of a Moto Nexus, but if recent rumours are to be believed, especially coming from a prolific tipster from Texas(where Motorola assembles its Moto X), the chances of Motorola making the next Nexus 5 device are rather high.
