We at FoneArena like the Samsung Galaxy S2. We think it is a great smartphone, one that deserves the accolades it has been getting. And like all great smartphones, it demands the best protection one can give it.
Proporta has kindly sent me an Impact Protective Crystal hard case to test. The case here is hardly a case. Like Samsung’s official case, Proporta’s offering is more of a shell, offering very basic protection and little else for people who want to retain as much of the Galaxy S2’s slimness as possible. A while back we had reviewed the Otterbox for the Nokia E7. The case had fared extremely well in protecting the device. Today we test out the version for the Nokia N8. The N8 in itself is a very sturdy phone but then a little extra protection never hurt anyone , did it ?
Over here at FoneArena we really like our Otterbox cases due to the great build quality and level of protection they offer. However it looks like Griffin has come out with a product which could match it. The Griffin survivor case which just went on stock at MobileFun is incredible snazzy AND will protect your iPad up to military standards.
The Apple iPhone might be the gadget with the most number of cases and other accessories. But this concept case is a first even for the iPhone.
The Nokia N8 is one of the most solid devices built to date: with an anodized aluminum body that can take some beating and come back victorious and a gorilla glass screen that defeats scratches by nature, it’s hard to find a reason why you would need, nay want, a screen protector or carrying case. However, I have come across a few pictures of tortured N8s with scratched bodies or screens and while I knew that it would take a lot of unfortunate events to get them to that state, I knew that I wanted the best class protection for my lovely orange N8. See, I’m a clumsy person, and it isn’t a rare scenario for me to drop my phone because I was hand gesturing too much or carrying many items with it in one hand.
