Niklas Savander,Executive Vice President,Markets, Nokia just confirmed that Nokia will only announce new Symbian devices at Nokia World 2010 this year and that there will be no MeeGo device announcement.

SE Spain has confirmed that Android 2.1 for SE Xperia X10 is coming out in the 38th week, which is actually 20th to 26th September. Sony Ericsson recently announced that they will bring Android 2.1 to Xperia X10 family in Q3, and Q3 is already here, so now SE is ready to fulfill their promise. Anssi Vanjoki who is currently heading the Nokia Mobile Solutions unit has resigned from the company. It is important to note that he was the same took responsibility of the Fight Back by the Finnish phone maker. Did Anssi resign due to the failure of the N97 or was he upset at OPK’s removal ?
Nokia has launched it’s first S40 Touch and Type phone the X3-02 in Lebanon and it’s the first country where the phone is going on sale. Nokia also decided to giveaway 100 free X3-02 to users present at the venue and a discount on the sale price for the unlucky souls present there.

Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo who is currently the CEO of Nokia will quit from his position and exit the Nokia board on Sept 20 this year. Stephen Elop who is currently heading the Business Division of Microsoft will take up the role of President and CEO of Nokia on Sept 21.It’s kinda shocking to see that OPK is not even in the Nokia board anymore. Folks over at Gizmodo was sent in some sexy shots of an upcoming WP7(Windows Phone 7) powered phone, which is manufactured by Samsung, and known as Samsung GT-i8700. I believe that this handset is a part of Samsung Galaxy family, and currently we only know that the phone comes with 8 GB of internal storage, and it also has a camera with LED flash, that’s all we know.
