Porsche Design and Research In Motion (RIM) has launched the Porsche Design P’9981 in India. It is made of  exclusive materials such as forged stainless steel frame, hand-wrapped leather back cover, sculpted QWERTY keyboard, and crystal clear touch display and has exclusive Porsche Design UI on top of the latest BlackBerry OS 7. SanDisk Extreme Pro microSDHC UHS-I card coming to India in Q3, offers transfer speed up to 95 MB/s

SanDisk has launched Extreme Pro microSDHC UHS-I card in India. These cards would offer up to 90MB/sec write speed for capturing multiple photos using burst mode with a UHS-I enabled mobile device and up to 95MB/sec read speed to move files quickly between host devices. Motorola Razr V with 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.0 coming to India in Q3 2012

Motorola launched the Razr Maxx in India and also announced that the Razr V would be available in third quarter of (Q3) 2012. It has 4.3-inch (960×540 pixels) display with scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It has Kevlar back similar to the Motorola Razr and Razr Maxx. It is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has 8MP auto-focus camera with flash and VGA front-facing camera. Motorola Razr Maxx launched in India for Rs. 31,590

Motorola has launched the Razr Maxx in India. It went on pre-order from online retailer Infibeam last week but the recommended retail price is much lesser than that. The phone comes with a 3300 mAh battery, which offers up to 17.6 hours of talk-time and 607 hours standby on a single charge. It is 8.99 mm thick and weighs 145 grams. LG launches Quick Voice intelligent voice recognition service for Optimus phones in Korea

LG has launched Quick Voice, their own intelligent voice recognition to compete with Apple’s Siri and Samsung S Voice. This voice recognition app would let the users call contacts, on the address book, set alarm, set appointments on the calendar and open apps. It would also let you open maps to view directions, check weather forecasts, stocks, open YouTube videos and perform web search all using voice commands. Vodafone officially announces new 3G data plans


Vodafone has officially announced its new 3G data plans. Vodafone reduced its 3G tariffs for pre-paid customers last month, but the plans were not clear. Later they announced post-paid 3G plans that were applicable only in select circles. These new plans start from Rs. 25 for 25 MB data usage and go up to Rs. 1599 for 12 GB of data usage. ZTE has announced the Grand X LTE (T82), their first single-chip LTE smartphone at CommunicAsia 2012. It is powered by 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Nokia PureView 808 coming to the US with a $699 pricetag

Nokia has just announced that Nokia 808 PureView will be available in the US unlocked at Amazon. The pentaband phone will support AT&T 3G but T-Mobile users will be relegated to 2G speeds. The pricing has been set at $699 but there is no official word on availability.

Comparison : Microsoft Surface Windows RT vs Surface Windows 8 Pro

Microsoft today announced its first series of self manufactured tablets under the name of Surface. They bring in unique hardware features like an inbuilt kickstand and a high end Magnesium casing. Two separate models will be available at launch. While one will run on Windows RT, the other is a full blown Intel tablet running on Windows 8 Pro.
