
Sony Mobile has started rolling out new Android 4.0.4 (Firmware version 6.1.1.B.1.54) update for Xperia P, Xperia U, Xperia Sola and Xperia Go. This update brings bug fixes and performance improvements including improvements to stability,WiFi, tethering/portable hotspot, camera (capture and playback), NFC and Messaging. Apple launches iTunes Music & Video Store in India
Apple has finally introduced its Music and Video store in India giving users here another avenue to get hold of content legally. Pricing is quite competent with individual tracks being priced between Rs 12-15 per track and most albums ranging from Rs. 110 to Rs. 300 depending on how old the album is and its popularity.

Movie pricing varies between Rs. 290 to Rs. 500 for SD or HD movies. You also have an option to rent them at Rs. 80 for Bollywood content while International movies will be charged at Rs. 120. Users can purchase and download music videos for priced between Rs. 15 and Rs 20 depending on content.

The Bollywood content is looking quite solid though if you’re looking for a good international collection especially movies, you might be disappointed. The iTunes Match service which lets you match your music collection to the cloud has also been launched here at Rs. 1200.

Rumour : Facebook Looking to Buy Whatsapp

Reports indicate that Facebook might be in talks to buy Whatsapp in order to enhance its mobile credentials. Facebook’s main source of mobile income is from ads and it reported recently that 14% of it’s advertising revenue in Q3 2012 came from its mobile division.

LG Optimus L9 launched in India at Rs. 23000

LG has launched the Optimus L9, their new Android Smartphone in the L-Style series in India. It was announced back in August and went on pre-order in India last week. It has a 4.7-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) IPS capacitive touch screen display and is powered by 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor. It runs on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and has a 5MP auto focus camera at the back with LED flash, 1080p Full HD video recording and a VGA front-facing camera. Airtel launches Emergency Alert Service

Airtel has launched Emergency Alert Service for their customers. This new 24×7 service lets them alert a pre-defined group of up to 10 mobile numbers automatically during emergency. Instead of sending messages to everyone during an emergency, subscribers can SMS SAFE to 55100 to let their loved ones know that they are safe along with their location. Facebook Photo Sync feature starts rolling out for Android, iPhone and iPad apps

Facebook started testing Photo Sync feature for their Android, iPhone and iPad apps back in August. Now they have started rolling out the feature to everyone. There is no app update for this feature, you just get a notification when you open the Facebook app to enable Photo Sync feature. This automatically uploads entire photos in your phone as you capture. You can also sync your entire phone photos, and you get 2GB of storage for it. The auto photo upload feature is already available on Google+ as instant upload and in Dropbox as Camera Upload. Nokia launches PhotoBeamer image sharing app for Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices

Nokia has launched PhotoBeamer app exclusively for Lumia phones (Lumia 820 and Lumia 920) running on Windows Phone 8. This app lets you to share images from the phone easily just by pointing the device on the QR code on photobeamer.com. This uses Scalado’s technology that was first released on PhotoBeamer iPhone back in May. After Nokia acquired Scalado, the team has worked hard to bring the app to Windows Phone 8 devices. Karbonn A15 Dual SIM Phone with 4-inch display, Android 4.0 now available for Rs. 5899

Karbonn A15, the company’s new Dual SIM Android Smartphone is now available from online retailer Saholic. It has a 4.0-inch (480 × 800 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Most of the features are similar to the A11 that was launched last month, but the A15 has just a 3MP Camera with Face Detection instead of a 5MP Auto Focus camera with Flash, and lacks a front-facing camera. iTunes 11 Released
Apple has finally released iTunes 11, a completely new version of iTunes. The new iTunes features a new redesigned store, simplified player, and new iCloud features.
The new iTunes is currently available through Software Update in the Mac App Store, and on Apple.com , it should be available via its iTunes pages soon.
The software update is around 200MB in size.
LG Optimus G Review

You saw the unboxing of the LG Optimus G last month. Here is the complete review of the phone. The Optimus G is a joint effort from LG Mobile, LG Chem, LG Innotek and LG Display. LG’s launched their first quad-core Android Smartphone, the Optimus 4X HD powered by a quad-core Tegra 3 processor in India back in July, that even got a price cut last month. The Optimus G has a powerful Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. Even though the Xiaomi MI-2 was announced in China with a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, the Optimus G is the first global device to come with a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ 8064 processor.
