Xiaomi has introduced the Xiaomi Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro tablets for the global markets at the MWC 2026, after they were introduced in China last year. Positioned as light productivity devices, the new series features the thinnest profiles of any tablets Xiaomi has released globally.
Both models are designed to integrate with Xiaomi’s smart hardware ecosystem and feature hardware and software updates aimed at professional and everyday use.
The tablets run on Xiaomi HyperOS 3, which includes updated lock screens, wallpapers, and widgets.
- Productivity Software: Multitasking: Features a 5:5 vertical split view and a new 1:9 horizontal split ratio for window management
- Workstation Mode: An upgraded dock that retains more quick-access applications.
- PC-Level Browser: Supports mouse-hover previews, right-click functionality, and an updated toolbar.
- WPS Office PC: Integrated directly into the OS for creating and editing WPS Docs, Slides, Sheets, and PDFs.
- AI Integration: Equipped with Xiaomi HyperAI to support device interconnectivity and task transitions.
The Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro is a 17.5g stylus featuring pressure-sensitive control and support for pinch and double-tap gestures. Both the Xiaomi Pad 8 / 8 Pro Focus Keyboard and the standard Keyboard.
