Nokia Lumia 822 announced, coming exclusively to Verizon this fall
Nokia has finally announced the Lumia 822, their new Windows Phone 8 device exclusive for Verizon Wireless. It surfaced earlier this month as Nokia Atlas and has similar features as the 820 including a 4.3-inch (800 x 480 pixels) AMOLED ClearBlack display, 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and Windows Phone 8 OS. Unlike the 820, this phone has a curved design. It would support Verizon’s 4G LTE network.

Google has cancelled today’s Android event due to bad weather
Google was supposed to host an event in New York City today to show off the new LG Nexus 4, the Samsung made Nexus 10, Android 4.2, and a few other cool things, but they’ve just announced that the event has been cancelled. In case you haven’t been keeping up with the news, the biggest storm America’s east coast has ever seen is set to hit several states during the next 48 hours. Over 375,000 people have already been evacuated from Manhattan, the New York Stock exchange has shut down, the public transportation has been turned off, basically the city is preparing for the worst. The Nokia Lumia 920 gets a price and launch date in Finland
Microsoft is going to show off Windows Phone 8 later today at an event in California. One of the first devices to hit the market that’ll run that OS will be Nokia’s flagship Lumia 920. It’s the first smartphone to feature optical image stabilization, which should deliver ultra high quality blur free photos. It’s also one of the first devices to ship with a touch screen that works even when you have gloves on, something that’s important in Nokia’s home country of Finland. Speaking about Finland, one of the largest consumer electronic store chains in the country, Verkkokauppa, has just announced when they’ll start selling the Lumia 920. According to their weekly circular, there’s going to be a launch event on November 22nd at 00:01. It’ll cost 599 Euros, which is the same price that they’ll also be selling HTC’s Windows Phone 8X. HTC starts pushing out Android 4.1 to the One X in Europe and Asia
HTC’s 2012 flagship device, the quad core One X, is now getting upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean according to reports from Android and Me. The updates weighs in at just over 350 MB, so you’re going to want to make sure you’re connected to a high speed WiFi network. Besides Android 4.1, there’s also the latest version of Sense, which comes with an “infinite” number of home screens, the ability to password protect your SMS inbox, and small tweaks here and there that allegedly make the device 10% faster. LG Optimus G Benchmarks – quad-core Snapdragon S4 CPU and Adreno 320 GPU
LG announced the Optimus G in August, which went on sale in Korea in September. We managed to get hold of the device to run some benchmarks.The LG Optimus G was in a close competition with the Samsung Galaxy Note II in most of the benchmarks but it was a clear winner when compared to the other quad-core devices including Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC One X and the LG Optimus 4X HD. Airtel which is one of the leading mobile operators in India has started taking Pre-Orders for the Apple iPhone 5 on its website. Airtel is promoting the iPhone 5 on its homepage and has requested interested customers to pre-order the device. The date of availability is mentioned as November 11th 2012 which is a good 10 days later than the previous November 2nd date we have been hearing from distributors.The prices seem to be exactly the same as what we had heard prior to this.

We just told you few hours back that the iPhone 5 was coming to India on November 2nd and also told about the prices at which the iPhone 5 will be selling for in India starting from Rs.45500 for the 16GB model.And now as expected Aircel has starting teasing the iPhone 5 on it’s website. Nexus 10 leaks, runs Android 4.2 on a 2500 x 1600 10.1″ screen
Google is widely expected to launch a second larger tablet at its upcoming Android centric event to provide a higher end offering alongside its current Nexus 7. The Nexus 10 was today leaked by BriefMobile and as expected, runs Android 4.2 on Samsung manufactured hardware. The screen is a 10.1″ unit with a resolution of 2500×1600. This results in a ppi of 298.9 which is most definitely higher than that on the iPad’s retina display.

Apple iPhone 5 Prices for India surface, starts at Rs.45500
Looks like Apple is gearing up to launch the iPhone 5 in India soon. Multiple retailers have started to announce the prices for the latest iPhone.The iPhone 5 might start retailing at Rs.45,500 for the 16GB model. Both White and Black versions of the phone are expected to go on sale. But still stocks are extremely limited considering the global demand for the device. Apple had reportedly appointed Ingram Micro and Redington as distributors for the iPhone 5. This was partially confirmed today as we got a press release from Ingram Micro about the same indicating a November 2nd release and now there is a link to a webpage containing the Redington logo which has popped up.

Rockstar Games is celebrating their 10th anniversary of their popular Game, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. To commemorate this they would launch GTA Vice City for select iOS and Android devices this fall. They launched their popular game, Grand Theft Auto III for Android and iOS last December. The GTA Vice City is inspired from 1980s American culture and is set in 1986 in Vice City, a fictional city modeled after Miami.
