Coke Studio @MTV app released for Windows Phone and Windows 8

The hugely popular Coke Studio show that airs on MTV India has got its app on the Windows Phone and Windows 8 platforms. With the recent push of local apps on the Windows platform, it isn’t a surprise to see another cool entrant from the Indian pop culture scene. The app is free and available for download on the Windows Phone Store for WP8 devices and on Windows Store for all Windows 8 and RT devices. The show, running in its 3rd season, got big names like Rahman and Ram Sampath for the latest one, which created excellent songs and garnered some insane attention. The app will let you download audio as well as video from inside, and is powered by the Microsoft Azure cloud technology.

This App brings you the rich and diverse music styles of India that brings together the biggest musicians of India combining independent, classical, folk , Sufi and popular genre music in an all new setting encompassing all 3 Seasons; Producers like Rahman, Clinton Cerejo, Amit Trivedi, Ehsaan, Loy, Hitesh Sonik, Karsh Kale among others. Enjoy the music, the experience and the re-live moments with this Music App and share the ultimate fusion project with your friends!

You can download all the songs and videos right inside the app with the Season 3 alone lacking Videos for now. While it is free for the Indian market, there are specific prices for other markets. The prices are –

  • Season 1 audio and video (complete download) @$4.99
  • Season 2 audio and video (complete download) @$5.99
  • Season 3 audio (complete download) @ $9.99
  • All the three seasons (complete download) @$14.99
  • For Season 1 and 2 a single episode download will cost $0.99 and Season 3 single episode will cost $1.99.
