LG Optimus L5 II (E450) got priced earlier this month along with the L3 II. The Optimus L3 II went on sale recently, now the L5 II is available from online retailer Snapdeal. It has a 4-inch (800 × 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and packs a 1700 mAh battery. These run on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). These phones use the LG L Style design with Smart LED Lighting on the home button. Samsung Galaxy S4 Active press image for AT&T and Galaxy S4 Zoom specs surface

Samsung announced the Galaxy S4 mini earlier this week globally. We had already seen the Galaxy S4 Active in photos and video. Now we have the press image of the rugged device for AT&T, thanks to Unlockr / @evleaks. The device is codename: J Active and it would be sold under model number SGH-I537. The phone would come with a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) full HD Super AMOLED display, powered by a 1.9GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor with Adreno 320 GPU run on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) with Touchwiz Nature UX on top. Nimbuzz introduces enhanced app with lower memory consumption for Blackberry devices

Nimbuzz today introduced a new version for Blackberry devices. The popular multiplatform instant messaging application has worked to drastically reduce the run time memory footprint for low powered Blackberry devices. The updated application is also geared towards better performance on slow data networks keeping in mind the popularity of both the service and Blackberry devices in emerging markets.

HTC gunning for 15% smartphone marketshare in India

HTC has been trying to stem its declining sales and has seemingly hit a home run with its latest handset, the One. Banking on its popularity and its portfolio for the rest of the year, the company has major expansion plans in India. In a report issues by PTI, HTC’s country head Faisal Siddiqui revealed that the company aims to double their market share in India.

The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer currently has a 6% share of the smartphone market in India. By adding two additional national distributors, HTC India has expanded its distribution channel greatly . The company also plans to introduce an EMI scheme for its high priced flagship device that was launched in India at the Rs. 42,990 mark.

Zen ultrafone 701 HD Unboxing

The Zen Ultrafone 701 HD is yet another entrant into the already crowded “5 inch 720p screen, quad core processor” market that has been flooded with a lot of phones this year. However, with a price tag of Rs. 11,999 this seems to be the cheapest of the lot in that range. Equipped with very similar specs to that of the various other smartphones in this price range, the device has landed in our office for testing. Celkon launched the A119Q Signature HD, successor of the A119 Signature HD earlier this month. Here we have the unboxing of the device. The A119Q has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) touch screen display, packs a 12-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and a 3-megapixel front-facing camera similar to the A119 Signature HD that we reviewed last month. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU and runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean).

Google’s Sundar Pichai sounds off on the future of Nexus at D11

Google’s Sundar Pichai introduced a Google edition of the HTC One at the ATD D11 conference yesterday which we’d reported on earlier. But the announcement was just the first of many interesting tid bits dropped by the Chief of Android and Chrome during his keynote session. While two top end phones by Samsung and HTC might signal the end of the Nexus device program, Pichai was quick to point out that, “The goal with Nexus was to push forward hardware as well. That will continue.”

HTC T6 specifications surface, 5.9-inch 1080p display and 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor

HTC T6, the company’s first phablet surfaced earlier this week. We did not hear anything about the specifications at the time. Thanks to @evleaks, now we have the specifications of the device even though these is no image of the device. According to the report by The Unlockr the phone is expected to come with a 5.9-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) full HD display, powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. It would run on the yet to be announced Android Key Lime Pie with enhanced HTC Sense UI with new BlinkFeed with more content, better customization and offline support. It is expected to come with a UltraPixel rear camera with LED Flash, OIS, BoomSound speakers and Beats audio support support  similar to the HTC One. Apple’s iPhone sales grow 400 percent in India

Credit Suisse has issued a note to clients stating that iPhone sales in India have shot up by close to 400 percent. Reported by the Economic Times, the note suggests that the EMI plans and other schemes initiated in India have had the desired effect resulting in quadrupled sales.

Samsung has carved out a huge market for its Galaxy range of Android phones. One of the most popular phones in the series was the Galaxy S3, clocking over 40 million units in sales as of January this year. HTC One with stock Android launching on June 26th in USA, priced at $599

HTC has finally confirmed the rumors about the HTC One running stock Android. The company just announced on its official blog that a HTC One with Nexus User Experience will be going on sale soon in the US market first. They would continue to sell the developer version and unlocked version directly to users. The HTC One with stock Android will be going on sale on Google’s Play store starting from June 26th but sadly only in the US. The handset has been priced at $599 which is lower than the price of the Galaxy S4 running stock Android which will also be going on sale on the same day for $649.
