JBL Lightning-equipped Audio Docks available in India starting from February

JBL has announced that their new range of Lightning-equipped Audio Docks for Apple devices including the iPhone 5, the iPad 4th Generation and the iPad mini would go on sale in India starting from this month. These audio docks include, the JBL OnBeat Micro, JBL OnBeat Mini, JBL OnBeat Venue LT and the JBL OnBeat Rumble. JBL is one of the first company to launch the audio docks with lightning support, and they have managed to sell over 250 thousand units of these audio docks worldwide. HCL ME Y3 Tablet Photo Gallery

HCL today launched the ME Y3, the company’s latest entrant into the crowded Android tablet market alongside the ME U1 and ME Y3. We got some hands on time with the tablet and did a short photo gallery. The 7inch tablet has a resolution of 1024×600. HCL ME V1 Tablet Photo Gallery

HCL officially launched the ME V1, the company’s latest Android tablet in the ME series along with the ME U1 and ME Y3. Here we have a hands-on photos of the tablet. It went on sale in India last month, and features a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It is powered by a 1 GHz cortex A8 CPU with GC430 GPU. This tablet has a SIM card slot that offers 2G data connectivity. It is also capable of making voice calls and sending text messages. Zync to launch new quad-core Android Tablets by February-end


Zync has announced that they plan to launch five new dual-core and quad-core tablets in sub-Rs.15,000 price range by the end of this month. These tablets would have 7-inch, 8-inch, 9.7-inch and 10.1-inch displays, respectively. Zync launched the Z-990 running Androrid 4.0 back in March 2012, which was India’s first Tablet to run on Android 4.0. Since then they have been launching several tablets, with the latest being the Z99, a budget Android tablet with 2G voice calling support. Aircel and ICICI Bank partner to launch Mobile Money

Aircel and ICICI Bank have announced the joint launch of Mobile Money, Mobile Banking service. It runs on Visa’s Mobile Managed Service that hosts and manages the Mobile Money platform, which saves time, complexity and cost for Aircel that would require to set up a mobile payment services. It would offer safe, secure and instant money transfers, including bill payments. Airtel launched the Airtel Money, their own mobile wallet service back in 2011, and launched the Airtel Money Super Account last year, in partnership with Axis Bank. Airtel launches mobile services in Kargil


Airtel has launched mobile services for its customers in Kargil district in Jammu & Kashmir that would offer seamless voice and data connectivity. Airtel has also announced that they are the only private operator to offer mobile connectivity in the region. HCL has launched three new tablets in India running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The ME U2 is the successor of the ME U1 that was launched last year. It has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) multi-touch capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex A9 processor with Mali 400 GPU. The HCL ME V1 comes with a similar 7-inch display, powered by a 1 GHz cortex A8 CPU with GC430 GPU and has 2G voice calling support. The HCL ME Y3 has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex A9 processor. It comes with dual SIM support with dual standby. Samsung Galaxy Young and Galaxy Fame with 1 GHz processor, Android 4.1 announced

Samsung has announced two new Android Smartphones, the Galaxy Young and the Galaxy Fame. These smartphones are powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). The Galaxy Young has a 3.27-inch ( 480 × 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and the Galaxy Fame has a 3.5-inch ( 480 × 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display. The Galaxy Young has a 3MP rear camera, while the Galaxy Fame comes with a 5MP auto focus camera with LED Flash and a VGA front-facing camera. HTC promises a new sound and Ultrapixel camera with M7 ?

HTC has posted a new info graphic about the Brief History of Photography where they mention the HTC Droid, the company’s first phone for Verizon with an 8MP camera, the HTC Evo 3D with dual cameras for 3D recording, the HTC One X which can click pictures while recording a video. In this list they have teased a new sound and camera experience in 2013. This might be the M7 with a Ultrapixel camera sensor. Idea launches 3G Speed Booster plans for postpaid customers

Idea Cellular has launched new 3G speed booster plans for post-paid customers that would let them enjoy high-speed data throughout their billing cycle. These plans are aimed at high-end data users with unlimited and bill secure plans, so that they need not wait till the next billing cycle to get their original speed back, rather than being throttled to 128 Kbps after the data cap based on the plan. Idea Cellular offers 3G speeds of up to 21.1 Mbps till the respective volume of usage.

Microsoft Research releases Blink burst image lens app for Windows Phone 8 devices

Microsoft Research has released Blink for Windows Phone 8 device that would let you capture a burst of images. It uses Advanced image stabilization technology from Microsoft Research removes camera shake and lets you focus on the important parts of the scene. Since this is a camera lens app just like the Bing Vision and the recently updated Bing Translator, you can easily launch it quickly when you launch the camera. It is first-of-its kind voice based one stop solution portal for value added services.
