Today, Apple has released the fourth beta of iOS 6.1 to developers. The release has a build number of 10B5126b. In addition, Apple has released beta 3 of the Apple TV and Xcode 4.6 Developer Preview 4.
Registered developers can download the betas via Apple’s Developer page or via Software Update on iOS devices with a previous iOS 6.1 Beta already installed.
A keen XDA member named alephzain has exploited a rather big security hole in devices that are powered by the Samsung Exynos 4 chipset. These Exynos 4 powered devices apparently have their physical memory access open for all kinds of applications, if exploited. Sounds serious.

Times of India has launched a new app called Alive that would let you view videos, photos, and polls related to a news just by pointing the app at a newspaper item with Alive logo. This app is available for Android, iPhone, BlackBerry and Nokia Symbian Smartphones and would offer a captivating experience for the users than just reading a newspaper. Karbonn Smart Tab 10, a new Android tablet in the Smart Tab range is now available online from Saholic. The Karbonn Smart Tab 10 (Cosmic) comes with a 1.5 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 9.7-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) display, 2MP rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. The company started selling Smart Tab 1 tablet with Jelly Bean back in August. The Karbonn Smart Tab 9 and Smart Tab 3, 9-inch and 7.1-inch tablets were officially released back in October. The long awaited entry level Windows Phone 8 handset, the HTC 8S, is now available in India at a price point of Rs. 19,359. Online retailer Saholic has now listed the handset as available. The HTC 8S follows the 8X which has been quite a popular handset partly due to the lack of competition in the WP8 segment.

This evening, Apple announced that the sales of the iPhone 5 exceeded two million units in its first weekend of availability in China.
“Customer response to iPhone 5 in China has been incredible, setting a new record with the best first weekend sales ever in China,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “China is a very important market for us and customers there cannot wait to get their hands on Apple products.”
Back in September, the sales of the iPhone 5 exceeded over 5 million during its initial launch in 9 countries including the U.S.
Nokia unveiled the Lumia 920, their latest flagship device that runs on the Windows Phone 8 back in September. Here we have the unboxing. The box looks similar to the boxes of the previous Lumia devices. The device has a 4.5-inch (1280 × 768 pixels) Pure Motion HD+ IPS display with 332 PPI pixel density and 600 Nits brightness. It is one of the best smartphone displays . It is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor.

Nokia Lumia 505 that was surfaced earlier this month has gone official for Mexico. The design of the Lumia 505 is similar to the Lumia 800. It comes with a 3.7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) AMOLED clear black display and runs on Windows Phone 7.8. It has a 8MP EDOF camera, unlike the other Lumia devices that has auto focus camera. It is 11.3 mm thick and weighs 131 grams. No details about the processor yet, but it is likely to come with a 800 MHz Snapdragon S1 processor similar to Lumia 510.
