ZTE Open first commercial Firefox OS device goes on sale in Spain

Mozilla partnered with several operators worldwide to bring devices running on Firefox OS. The Firefox developer devices Keon and Peak manufactured by Spanish company GeeksPhone went on sale in April. There was a report that thes Firefox phones are expected to launch in 9 countries. Now the Telefónica has launched the ZTE Open in Spain that was unveiled at the MWC 2013. It is now on sale from Movistar stores in Spain priced at 69 Euros (~US$90) (inc. VAT). Idea introduces new packs with free incoming calls on national roaming


Idea Cellular has launched new roaming packs that would let you enjoy free incoming calls while roaming nationally. Airtel launched national roaming packs yesterday starting at Rs. 5/day. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) reduced the limit for national roaming tariff for calls and SMS last month.  Videocon made incoming calls free back in March without any processing fee or a special tariff vouchers. Skitch for iPhone and iPad v2.6 update brings adjustable canvas, better arrows and more

Evernote has updated the Skitch app for iPhone and iPad to version 2.6 that brings new features including Adjustable Canvas that lets you add room at the edges of your image, map, or screenshot. If you annotate beyond the edge of your image, the canvas will now automatically expand to give you more space. The shapes have a much smaller minimum size in this version that makes it easier to highlight only the information you want to change or clarify. Microsoft has updated its OneNote app for Android, iPhone and iPad that lets you see notes the same across all clients on different platforms (Windows, Windows Phone, Android, iOS), it will also render ink such as its size, color, and shape. The version 2.0 update for iPhone and iPad brings new formatting options and the iPad app lets you access rich formatting options easily. The Android app version 15.0 update brings option to record audio notes, Home screen widgets and lots more features. Both the apps now ltes you access sync your notebooks on SharePoint, Office 365 and SkyDrive Pro. Apple files for iWatch trademark in Japan, Russia & Mexico

Bloomberg reports that Apple is aiming to trademark the name iWatch. The company filed for a patent at the Japanese Patent Office on 3rd June. It has long been rumored that the Cupertino based company is all set to enter the wearables market with a smart watch. It is believed that the company has about 100 designers working on its latest product. Tavis McCourt, an analyst at Raymond James & Associates Inc. has upgraded Apple’s shares to a buy with a $600 target price. To compete with Apple’s upcoming device, Samsung is known to be working on its own smart watch. Sony too has announced its second generation SmartWatch that runs Android. The wearable could work in tandem with Apple’s iPhone and iPad to offer notifications and voice based navigation through Siri. Lenovo K900 Gaming Performance Overview

While we are busy writing our complete review of the Lenovo K900, we thought it would be right to show you the gaming performance overview, as a glimpse into the performance aspect of the Intel Z2580 system on a chip residing inside this flagship device. The 2 GHz dual core processor has a total of 4 threads thanks to Intel’s own Hyper Threading technology and giving company is the PowerVR SGX 544 MP2 for graphics. Impressively enough, the GPU is clocked at a high 533 MHz frequency, making it one of the fastest clock rates for the specific model. All said, lets move on to the gaming part of the device then!

Airtel launches free incoming national roaming packs, starts at Rs. 5

Airtel has launched new roaming packs for both the prepaid and postpaid customers that would let them enjoy free roaming while travelling across India. Airtel launched a roaming pack for prepaid customers in Delhi back in March that offered discounted rates for incoming calls for roaming, now the new packs would offer free incoming calls. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) reduced the limit for national roaming tariff for calls and SMS last monthVideocon already offers free incoming calls without any processing fee or a special tariff vouchers. Other operators are yet to announce free national roaming plans.

Nokia has officially launched the Nokia 301 in India. It was announced at the MWC 2013 earlier this year and went on sale in India last month. It has a 2.4-inch  (320 x 240 pixels) display and runs on Series 40 OS. It has 3G support and comes with 3.2-megapixel rear camera with unique panorama, sequential shot which takes shots at 3-5 fps. It also lets you choose the perfect picture and self-portrait feature that uses voice prompts to tell you how to position the phone so your face is properly in the frame. It comes with dual SIM support with Easy Swap Dual SIM that allows you to switch SIM cards without turning off the phone. It has a 4.5-inch (854 ×480 pixels) FWVGA capacitive touch screen display at 217 ppi, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It has dual SIM support with dual standby similar to other Xolo smartphones.
