Nokia Asha 310 now available in India for Rs. 5601
Nokia Asha 310 that was announced last month is now available in India from the official Nokia Shop. It is the company’s first affordable touch screen phone with Dual SIM support and WiFi connectivity. It has a 3.0-inch (240 x 320 pixels), scratch-resistant capacitive touch screen display, 1 GHz processor and a 2 MP rear camera. It runs on S40 Asha OS with Swipe UI and comes with 40 Free EA games including Tetris, Bejeweled, Need for Speed The Run and Fifa 2012. LG Optimus L5 II global roll out starts this week
LG unveiled the Optimus L Series II devices at the MWC 2013 last month. The Optimus L7 II was the first device to ship starting from Russia, and the Optimus L3 II global roll out started couple of weeks back starting from Brazil. LG has now announced that the Optimus L5 II would go on sale globally starting from this week. All the new All the L Series II devices share same design elements such as Seamless Layout, Laser Cut Contour, Radiant Rear Design and colorful Smart LED Lighting on the home button. BlackBerry India head resigns
Just weeks after launching the BlackBerry Z10, BlackBerry’s head honcho in India decided to resign the job, effective immediately. Previously known as Research in motion, the Waterloo company recently launched its revamped smartphone efforts with new devices based on the BlackBerry 10 operating system. The BlackBerry Z10 was launched in India with a hefty price tag of Rs. 43, 490 and it was supposedly sold out within two day, with BlackBerry scrambling to refill the chain with a fresh inflow of devices. But, after all this, it has been revealed that the BlackBerry India head is resigning today.
Sony Xperia Z Benchmarks
Sony launched the Xperia Z, the company’s latest flagship device in India earlier this week. Here we have Benchmarks of the device. The Sony Xperia Z is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor Qualcomm APQ8064 processor and Adreno 320 GPU, similar to the HTC Butterfly, Optimus G and the Google Nexus 4. Performance of the device is better in most of the benchmarks when compared with the other quad-core Android Smartphones.

XOLO Q800 officially launched for Rs. 12,499
XOLO has launched the Q800, the company’s first quad-core smartphone officially. It went on sale from online retailer Flipkart yesterday. It packs a 4.5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with PowerVR SGX544 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It packs a 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, BSI sensor, 720p HD video recording and a 1MP front-facing camera. It has a YAMAHA 168 PA music system for enhanced audio experience. It has several music player options such as Shake to change the song and Auto filter in music settings to filter the songs based on their size. Xolo to launch Intel Clover Trail+ powered Smartphone next week ?
Xolo has started teasing their upcoming X series smartphone on their Facebook page. This is the company’s upcoming flagship device in the X Series. Xolo launched the X900 last year powered by a single-core Medfield Atom processor. The upcoming Xolo smartphone might be powered by a Clover Trail+ platform featuring a dual-core CPU and dual-core PowerVR SGX 544MP2 GPU. Piriform, the creators of the popular system cleaning utility CCleaner for Windows and Mac has announced that they are working on an Android app. CCleaner for Android would be a one-click cleaning utility that would let you clear your browser history, Cache, Messages and more as you can see from their teaser image above. Lava has launched E-Tab Connect, the company’s first tablet with 3G support and voice calling as they promised. It comes with a 7.0-inch (800 × 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7227A ARM Cortex A5 processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Skype for iPhone and iPad v4.6 update brings new calling UI, several fixes and improvements
Skype for iPhone and iPad has been updated to version 4.6 that brings new features including an improved user interface for the calling screen, several bug fixes and improvements. This also brings a new and easy way to mark messages as ‘read’. Even though several issues regarding Calling, Conversations, File Transfer has been resolved, still there are several issues in VoiceOver. Skype promises they are working on a fix to resolve these issues.

Micromax A110 Canvas 2 would get the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update next week, according to reports from Tech2. Micromax launched the A110 Canvas 2 last year, and we reviewed it earlier this year. The company’s latest Smartphone the A116 Canvas HD comes with Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box, and they already said that it would get the Android 4.2 update eventually.
