Samsung Galaxy S4 vs LG Optimus G Pro

Today we have the Samsung’s current flagship, the Galaxy S4 and LG’s first phablet – Optimus G Pro. Samsung’s Galaxy S4 was announced in March and has been available in the market since April while the G Pro was announced in February, but has been available in the market only since July. Both the devices pack powerful processors under their Full HD display. The Galaxy S4’s more fierce competitor is the newly launched LG G2 and we will be bringing you that comparison pretty soon.

Xolo Play Tegra Note with Tegra 4 launching mid-October, Xolo Play Tab 7.0 with Tegra 3 coming this month

NVIDIA unveiled the Tegra Note, the company’s first Tegra 4 tablet last week. It partnered with Xolo to launch the tablet in India. NVIDIA Co Founder, President and CEO Jen-Hsun Huang showed off the Xolo Play Tegra Note at an event in Mumbai yesterday. Xolo Play Tegra Note will launch in mid-october and will be priced around Rs. 20,000,  said Sunil Raina, Business Head, Xolo in a statement to FoneArena. FIFA 14 for Android, iPhone and iPad released globally

FIFA 14 started rolling out for the iOS devices starting from New Zeland last week. Now the game is available for Android and iOS users globally. The new FIFA game has enhanced graphics than the previous versions and has licensed real football leagues, teams, and players. Android Device Manager updated with remote locking feature

Google launched their Android Device Manager at the starting of August. At launch, Android Device Manager had the features to make your phone ring at full volume in case you had misplaced it, to map the location of the device and to quickly erase all the data from phone in case of theft or other situations.

Panasonic T11, T21 and P11 officially launched in India, priced between Rs. 9790 and Rs. 16490


Panasonic India has officially launched three new smartphone, T11 and T21 in the T Series and P11 in the P Series. The company launched their first smartphone, the P51 in India back in May. The P11 and T11 appeared online back in July and went on sale last week.  The  Panasonic T11 comes with a 4-inch WVGA  (480×800 pixels) display, Panasonic T21 has a 4.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display and the Panasonic P11 comes with a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display. Both the T11 and P11 comes are powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor, while the T21 has a 1.2 GHz dual-core Broadcom 28145 processor. BBM for Android and iPhone not coming this week, says BBM head

BlackBerry Messenger for Android was supposed to go live last week, but the launch was paused after the issues caused by leaked the Android APK. BlackBerry announced a couple of days back that they have paused the roll out since the leaked APK brought 1.1 million active users in the first 8 hours, even before the official release that created several issues when they were about to release these apps officially. We even tried out BBM for iPhone that went live briefly on Saturday in the New Zealand app store. Later it was pulled. Everyone needs a tablet to use on the go and that’s Archos’ philosophy with the Archos 80 Xenon, their latest debutant in the 8 inch tablet class. Microsoft unveils Surface 2 – Tegra 4, Full HD screen and Silver option, starting $449

surface-2-image-rt Microsoft has announced its refresh of the Surface devices today, with the new Surface 2, the Surface Pro 2 and a whole lot of updated accessories. The Surface 2 is the updated version of Surface RT, running on the much criticized Windows RT platform. Last year, it was meant as one of the first entries into the ARM territory for Microsoft, and this year, without much change in the strategy, Microsoft has done a Spec bump to the older version. The new Surface 2 runs on a Tegra 4 Quad Core processor, a full HD Clear Type 1080p screen, a two-step kickstand for better usage on the lap and even a second colour option in Silver. They also claim that it is thinner and lighter than the original Surface.

Back in July SmartNamo, Android smartphone named after Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi was announced. Later in August Smart Namo Phablet with 6.5-inch 1080p display was unveiled. Now new SmartNaMo phones Saffron and Saffron Two are up for pre-order from online retailer Snapdeal. The Saffron One has a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display and the Saffron Two comes with a  6.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display. Both these phones are powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core  MediaTek MTK6589T processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). which is upgradable to future versions.
