Apple has filed for patent that describes a method of adjusting security and other settings for mobile devices based on the user’s location. The latest patent application was published by the United States Patent & Trademark Office but was originally filed in December 2012 by Apple.

Samsung Gear Live that was announced last week at the Google I/O got priced on the Google Play Store at Rs. 15,900, immediately after the announcement. Now the smartwatch is available for purchase on the Google Play Store in India at the same price. The Gear Live Smartwatch runs on Android Wear, has a 1.63 inch (320 x 320 pixels) Super AMOLED display, powered by a 1.2 GHz processor and packs a 300 mAh battery that promises one day battery life. Intex has launched Aqua Curve Mini, a smaller variant of the Intex Aqua Curve that was launched earlier this year. It has a 4.5-inch (854 × 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Xiaomi the famous Chinese phone maker had announced its plans to enter the tablet market with the Mi Pad back in May and looks like the tablet has gone on sale recently. HTC seems to be back after several slumps in its revenues and profits, as the Taiwanese manufacturer has posted its unaudited results for the fiscal second quarter of 2014, on its investors website. The second quarter saw the release of its latest flagship device, the HTC One M8, which is possibly doing quite well for the company. The device, armed with the same popular design as its predecessor, added a second camera module on its back to tout interesting software based effects as one of its USPs. Couple that with top end specifications and a premium build, the company might have with them, a winner, at least financially.

Flipkart was rumored to be launching a smartphone, but they dropped that plan and now, have launched a tablet under Rs. 10,000. Nokia is reportedly working on three Windows Phone 8.1 phones that are due for launch later this year. The three devices are – a high end device with 3D sensors – codename McLaren, mid-range 4.7inch display laden device – codename Superman and a low end device with codename Rock. If rumors from China are to be believed, Nokia is also prepping a successor to the long forgotten Lumia 820 in the form of Lumia 830.
