Google is bringing arrayof new features and updates to Hangouts on Android. The latest 2.1 update merges SMS and Hangouts conversation with the same person. This essentially means that a user does not have to switch back and forth between texts messages and instant messages (IM). Google also supports unmerging of conversations, which is useful for those users who wish to keep them separate.
Xolo Q1010i with 5-inch HD display, Exmor R camera sensor launched for Rs. 13499
Xolo has launched Q1010i, successor of the Xolo Q1010. It appeared on the official website earlier this month and has a 8-megapixel Sony Exmor R sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 1.4 micron pixel size and a 5-element lens. Other features are similar to the Q1010, including a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display based on One-glass-Solution (OGS) technology, 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor and Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), upgradable to Android 4.4 (KitKat). LG G Watch will be water resistant and feature always-on display
LG has unveiled the champagne gold version of the LG G Watch on their official Facebook page. It also has a dedicated webpage that reveals that the G Watch would be dust and water resistant and reveals that it will have an always-on display, unlike the Samsung Gear 2. The Stealth Black version of the LG G Watch was unveiled last month as the company’s first Android Wear-powered Smartwatch. Micromax has launched the Canvas Doodle 3, the latest smartphone in the Canvas Doodle series. It has a 6-inch FWVA display, powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor and run on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) as rumored. It would come with a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. Google Nexus 8 made by HTC reportedly coming in Q3 2014
Earlier this year there were reports about Asus making the next Nexus tablet, but a recent report from DigiTimes claims that HTC would be making the next Nexus tablet that would launch sometime in Q3 2014. Nokia to complete it’s sale to Microsoft on 25th April
The long drawn affair of Nokia’s sale to Microsoft will finally come to a close on 25th April. Having received the go ahead from all regulatory bodies, the company today announced that the transaction will finally be completed on 25th April when Nokia Oy will be rebranded as Microsoft Mobile Oyj. The acquisition is meant to help Microsoft have a stronger foothold in the mobile space and to help push adoption of Windows Phone running devices. LinkedIn has announced that is has surpassed 300 million registered users from 200 countries across the globe. Out of these 300 million members, 67% actually comes from outside the United States. The professional social network touted that it has added more than 23 million members since December 31, 2013.
