Reliance Jio has officially launched 4G mobile services in Spangmik village near Pangong Lake in Ladakh and the company claims it is the first to provide 4G mobile connectivity in the area. Mobile Connectivity in the Ladakh and Leh regions is limited due to the geography, extreme weather, and government restrictions due to proximity to the international border.

Reliance Jio has introduced three new postpaid recharge plans for JioFi users. The plans cost Rs 249, Rs 299, and Rs 349, respectively, and include up to 50GB of data per month. Reliance Jio just announced that it will once again make off-net domestic voice calls free, starting 1st January 2021. Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) today announced that its subsidiary Reliance Jio Digital Services Limited (RJDSL) has entered into a definitive business transfer agreement with Haptik Infotech Pvt Ltd (Haptik). On a fully diluted basis Reliance will hold about 87% of the business with the rest being held by Haptik founders and employees through stock option grants. Reliance Jio has reported Rs. 10,383 crore revenue, up 12.4% QoQ and 50.9 YoY and a net profit of 831 crore, up 22.1% QoQ and 65% YoY for its sixth quarterly financial performance for the period that ended 31st December, 2018. Jio reported Standalone earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of 4,053 crore, up 13.4% QoQ, EBITDA margin of 39%, and Standalone earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) of 2,369 crore, up 16% QoQ .
