Metis Learning, an education startup has launched Eddy G70, successor of Eddy that was launched earlier this year. It is an Android-based learning tablet for kids that comes with over 160 of the learning apps. It is based on Android 4.2.2 with an overlay of the proprietary Athena OS that is created specifically for children. Metis has partnered with Intel and Amazon for the tablet. Intex has launched the Aqua T2, the latest smartphone in the Aqua series. Intex says that this is the cheapest smartphone running Android 4.4 (KitKat) in India. The company launched the Aqua 4X last week, which is one of the cheapest smartphones in the country with 4-inch display, 3G connectivity and Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The Aqua T2 has a 3.5-inch HVGA screen, powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor, has a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera.
