vivo V1 with 6.7mm slim frame, 4G LTE now available in India for Rs. 16000

vivo announced V1, a new smartphone in India earlier this month, now the smartphone is on sale in India. It has a 5-inch HD screen, is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit SoC and runs on Funtouch OS 2.1 based on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). It has a 6.78mm slim frame and has magnesium alloy body, according to the company. It has dual SIM support and 4G LTE connectivity with support for 4G LTE bands (TDD B40 2300MHz and FDD B3 1800MHz) for India.

Global smartphone shipment hits 304 million in Q2: Report

Worldwide smartphone shipments grew 1.9% over the previous quarter to 304M units in the second quarter of 2015, as per a latest report from research firm TrendForce.

Uber starts accepting cash payments in Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Kochi

Uber started testing cash payment option in Hyderabad in May this year. Now the company has announced that it has started testing cash payment option in four more cities – Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Kochi in India for uberGO and uberX rides. Inside the Uber app there will be an an option to select CASH as a payment option, which must be selected before the ride. You don’t need a minimum balance in your Paytm wallet to be able to book rides with cash as payment option. Orange in talks to acquire four African subsidiaries of Airtel
