At the Google for India event today in Delhi, Caesar Sengupta, Product Management Director, Google said that Asus will launch its Chromebit compact stick running Chrome OS in India in January 2016. The Chromebit plugs directly into the HDMI port on a TV or monitor to turn it into a desktop PC offering 1080p output. It is compact and has a fan-less design. Airtel launches 4G LTE services in Salem

Airtel has launched its 4G LTE services in Salem, Tamil Nadu, after it launched it in Chennai, Pondicherry, Vellore, Trichy, Madurai, Coimbatore, Tirupur & Tirunelveli. Airtel launched 4G services in 296 towns across India in August. Airtel 4G is available to customers across mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles in the city. Reliance Jio expected to launch 4G in select areas by Dec 28, pan-India roll out in Q2 2016: report

Reliance Jio Infocomm, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) already said that it plans to launch commercial 4G around December. Now a new report from Bank of America Merrill Lynch says that it expects a small scale launch of Reliance Jio Infocomm’s 4G services by the end of December in select areas, especially in Mumbai, according to ET.
