Misfit has partnered with Speedo to launch Speedo Shine activity, swim, and sleep tracker. It is targeted at swimmers and will track a swimmer’s lap count at industry-leading accuracy for all stroke types using proprietary lap counting algorithms embedded in the device’s firmware track, said the company. It is just 8.6mm thick weighs just 9.4 grams.

Google has expanded its Android One program to Africa. It has partnered with hardware manufacturer Infinix to launch Infinix Hot 2 Android One smartphone in 6 African countries – Egypt, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Morocco and Nigeria. Android One was launched in India first and got expanded to Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Philippines, Turkey, Myanmar, Pakistan and Thailand. iberry’s Auxus has launched Auxus PRIME P8000 in partnership with Chinese smartphone maker Elephone exclusively on Snapdeal, as it announced yesterday. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, is powered by a 1.3 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It supports Elephone ROMs and customized ROMs. It has 4G LTE connectivity with support for 4G LTE bands (TDD B40 2300MHz and FDD B3 1800MHz) for India.
Looks like we will have to wait a bit longer to check out Google’s modular smartphone concept, Project Ara. The company has announced that Project Ara is getting delayed till 2016.
