Xiaomi has started rolling out global stable MIUI 6 update for the Redmi 1S smartphone, few months after releasing the beta version. The company introduced MIUI 6, a major upgrade to MIUI ROM last year, but only few Mi devices such as Mi 4, Mi 3, Redmi Note, Redmi 2 and MiPad run on the stable MIUI 6 ROM. LG Display said to invest $803 million for OLED panels in smartphones and wearables

LG Display Co Ltd is looking forward to invest up to 900 billion won ($802.75 million) for OLED panels for smartphones and wearables. The South Korean company is said to venture into new production line for small- and medium-sized organic light emitting diode (OLED) displays, as per a report from DongA Ilbo publication.

Oppo has announced Mirror 5s smartphone, after it was leaked recently. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display, is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Color OS 2.1 ROM on top. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone has glass back, a metal frame and is just 7.65mm thick. LG has announced TONE+ HBS-500 mini, Bluetooth stereo headset for women. This is a variant of the LG TONE+ HBS-500 that has a neckband length of 2cm to 22cm, especially for women. It supports VoLTE (Voice over LTE) calls that would let users to hold conversations in High Definition (HD) sound between VoLTE-capable devices and features noise reduction using MEMS microphone. It weighs just 29 grams.
