Microsoft Surface Book – Variants and Pricing

Microsoft announced a new laptop/2 in 1 yesterday known as the Microsoft Surface Book. It is basically a larger and more powerful version of the Surface Pro 4. It features a 13.5″ display and prices start at US$ 1499. However, that is quite a vague term and we though we’ll bring you this detailed price comparison to explain what you will be getting at each price point.

Like we mentioned earlier, the prices for the Surface Book start at US$ 1499 and goes up all the way till US$ 2699.The basic specifications of the laptop that remain same are:

  • 13.5″ 3:2 display with 3000×2000 pixels resolution and 1800:1 contrast ratio
  • Silver Coloured Magnesium Body and Dynamic Fulcrum Hinge with a single button detach mechanism (The screen can be detached from the keyboard and used as a tablet)
  • Backlit keyboard (1.6mm travel) and Glass Trackpad
  • Two USB 3.0 ports, SD Card Reader, Headphones/Microphone Jack, mini DisplayPort, Surface Connect for power and docking
  • Windows 10 Pro
  • 8 Megapixel Rear Camera and 5 Megapixel Front Facing Camera with Windows Hello Facial Authentication
