Xiaomi introduces Mi TV 2s 48-inch 4K Smart TV with 9.9mm frame

Xiaomi has introduced new 48-inch Mi TV 2s, few months after introducing its new 55-inch Mi TV 2. The new Mi TV 2s has a 48-inch (3840 x 2160 pixels) 4K display from Samsung with 178-degree viewing angle. The TV has 9.9mm thick aluminum alloy frame that comes in gold, pink, blue, green and silver colors. It is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core MStar 6A928 Cortex-A17 processor, has 2GB RAM and supports a range of apps from the Mi Store. Other specifications are similar to the 55-inch Mi TV 2. HTC has launched the Desire 820G+ dual sim, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in India. It has a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display, is powered by a Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 SoC and runs on Android with Sense UI. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front-facing camera and dual-front-facing BoomSound speakers, similar to last year’s Desire 820. Samsung has launched Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7, the company’s latest selfie-focused smartphones with 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash in India, as expected. The Galaxy J5 has a 5-inch HD screen and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC, while the Galaxy J7 comes with a 5.5-inch HD display and is powered by an Octa-Core Exynos 7580 SoC. Both these smartphones run on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with new UI and have a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. Oppo has announced Mirror 5 smartphone, few weeks after it introduced Mirror 5s. It has a 5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) display, compared to 5-inch HD display on the Mirror 5s. Other specifications are similar, including a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit SoC, Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Color OS 2.1 ROM, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has glass back, a metal frame and is just 7.65mm thick. Periscope for Android now lets you view recent broadcasts from a profile

Twitter’s Periscope for Android has received its third update (v1.0.3) that adds option to view someone’s profile for live and recent broadcasts from the past 24 hours and also lets you share them to Twitter easily. Previously, clicking a profile just showed option to follow or unfollow a person and their follower/following count. This is already available for iPhone. This update also brings in-app notifications for live broadcasts for users running on Android Lollipop.
