Lenovo introduced the Vibe S1 smartphone with dual front-facing cameras at the IFA in September. Today the company has sent out invites for the launch of the selfie-focused smartphone in India on November 23rd. The 8-megapixel front-facing camera, along with the secondary 2-megapixel camera will offer crisp images and advanced depth of field, including background blur, background swap and improved low-light results, said Lenovo.

Samsung has introduced the most rumored Galaxy J3 (SM-J3109Z) smartphone finally in China. It packs a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, compared to 4.7-inch qHD AMOLED screen on the Galaxy J2 that was launched in India in September. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) OS with Samsung’s own UI on top, comes with a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Samsung launched the Galaxy On7 in India earlier this month, priced at Rs. 10,990 exclusively on Flipkart. We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have its benchmarks. It powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) SoC that has four ARM Cortex-A53 CPUs clocked at 1.19 GHz per core and Adreno 306 GPU clocked at 400 MHz, similar to most of the A and E series smartphones.  It has 1.5GB RAM, 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). Google to combine all its cloud services, names VMWare co-founder as cloud chief

Google has announced that it will combine all its cloud businesses, including Google for Work, Cloud Platform, and Google Apps, under a single company. It acquired bebop, a startup founded by Diane B. Greene, who is also the co-founder and former CEO of VMWare. Google has named her the head of its cloud business, and she will remain on the Google board, said the company. bebop is a development platform that makes it easy to build and maintain enterprise applications. Huawei Mate 8 with Kirin 950 SoC, 4GB RAM surfaces in benchmarks and live images

Huawei Mate 8 codenamed NXT-AL10 has appeared on AnTuTu revealing most of its specifications. It will be powered by Huawei’s latest Kirin 950 Octa-Core SoC that was introduced earlier this month. In AnTuTu, the 4GB RAM variant scores 79131 points, beating its competitors. It scores roughly between 76,000 and 79,000 points, according to AnTuTu. Kirin 950 has up to 2.3 GHz quad-core ARM Cortex 72 CPU + up to 1.8 GHz quad-core ARM Cortex A53 GPU and Mali T880 GPU.

LG Pay mobile payment service announced

LG today announced LG Pay, its own mobile payment service, after Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Android Pay. The Korean giant has partnered with Shinhan Card and KB Kookmin Card to prepare for the launch of LG Pay in South Korea soon. LG did not announce when it will roll out the mobile payment service in Korea or other markets.
