Facebook records $4.5B in revenues, hits 1.01DAU, 1.55B MAU in Q3, 2015


Facebook has exceeded analyst estimates and recorded a whopping $4.5B in revenue for Q3, 2015. The social network reported a 41% year-over-year increase in revenues.

Giving insights about the user base Facebook revealed that it has 1.55 billion monthly active users as of September 30, 2015, an increase of 14% year-over-year. The social network said that it has 1.01 billion daily active users on average for September 2015, an increase of 17% year-over-year. Mobile DAUs were 894 million an increase of 27% year-over-year while Mobile MAUs were 1.39 billion, an increase of 23% year-over-year.

Mobile advertising continues to represent much of what Facebook gets, generating 78 percent of advertising revenue for the third quarter of 2015, up from 66% of advertising revenue in the third quarter of 2014. Facebook also said that it now has 8 billion video views per day that double the 4 billion daily views the company reported in April. Those views come from the 500 million users who are watching videos every day.
