Lava International has launched A88, A71 and X11 three new 4G smartphones. The Lava A71 went on sale online earlier this week. The Lava A88 has a 5-inch FWVGA screen, while the A71 and X11 smartphones have a 5-inch HD display with  Corning Gorilla Glass protection. All these phones run on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop), but Lava is promising upgrade to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) for A71 and A88. These smartphones come with dual SIM support and 4G LTE connectivity with both TDD-LTE Band 40 (2300MHz) and FDD-LTE Band 3 (1800MHz) for India.

Intex has launched FitRist, the company’s first fitness smart band, few months after launching its iRist smartwatch. The FitRist tracker has a 0.86-inch OLED display, uses Bluetooth to pair with Android or iPhone, lets you track steps, distance traveled, calories burnt and monitor quality of sleep. It also offers notifications for incoming calls, control music and use it as a remote shutter for the phone’s camera. Spigen officially teases LG G5 case, shows off dual rear cameras and fingerprint sensor

After the LG G5 Rugged Armor case surfaced on Amazon listing few days back, popular case maker Spigen today confirmed it on official channels. The rugged case confirms dual cameras, flash, laser auto focus and fingerprint sensor on the back. Volume rockers have been moved to the left side of the phone, unlike rear buttons on earlier LG G series smartphones.

Microsoft teams up with Acer to pre-install its Android apps on phones and tablets

Microsoft has partnered with Acer to pre-load productivity apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive and Skype on select Android smartphones and tablets from Acer. The company said that it will start the pre-installing the apps from second half of 2016.

It will first roll out in business and residential corridors such as Jayanagar, Basavangudi, JP Nagar, Electronic City, Bangalore International Airport, Whitefield, BTM. Airtel launches 4G LTE services in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh

Airtel has commercially launched its 4G LTE services in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, after successfully launching 4G in Shimla and Baddi in the state. It launched 4G services in 296 towns across India back in August last year. Airtel 4G is available to customers across mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles in the city.
