OPPO today launched A71, the company’s latest smartphone in ‘A series’ in India. It has a 5.2-inch HD display, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 processor, runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) OS with ColorOS 3.1 on top, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1/3.06-inch sensor and f/2.2 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, but it doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor. Qualcomm teases Apple ahead of iPhone X event, says Android always first to new technology

Samsung just launched the flagship Galaxy Note8 smartphone in India, as it had promised. It packs a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ Infinity Display and comes with 12-megapixel primary camera with f/1.7 aperture and wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture and telephoto lens offering 2x optical zoom and OIS for both. It has Iris scanner, fingerprint sensor as well as heart rate monitor, similar to the predecessor and is also water resistant up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes with IP68 ratings. Qualcomm and Nokia partner for 5G NR deployment

Qualcomm and Nokia have announced plans to conduct interoperability testing and over-the-air field trials based on the 5G New Radio (NR) Release-15 specifications being developed by 3GPP. Qualcomm also introduced 5G NR mmWave prototype system, which operates in millimeter wave (mmWave) spectrum bands above 24 GHz and released a white paper on “Addressing the strong mobile broadband demand in 2019 & beyond”.
