Huawei’s Honor brand introduced Honor 6C back in April, now it has unveiled Honor 6C Pro in Europe, which is the re-branded Honor V9 Play that was introduced in China last month. It packs a 5.2-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 SoC, instead of Snapdragon 435 in the 6C and runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with EMUI 5.1 on top. Samsung CEO Kwon Oh-Hyun to step down

Samsung Electronics today has announced that company’s Vice Chairman, Kwon Oh-Hyun will resign as Head of Device Solutions business and will not be seeking a re-election as as a member of the Board of Directors and the Chairman of the Board when his term ends in the coming March 2018. iOS 11 surpasses iOS 10, now present on 47% of Apple devices

Apple released iOS 11 last month and it has already surpassed its predecessor in terms of adoption. A latest report from analytics company Mixpanel has now revealed that iOS 11 has 47% market share, compared to 46% for iOS 10. This means more iPhones and iPads are already running on the latest mobile operating system than last year’s iOS 10.

Samsung’s earnings guidance for Q3 2017 reveals another record profit

Samsung has posted its earnings guidance for the third quarter of 2017, which reveals that it will post an all time high 14.5 (14.4 ~ 14.6) trillion Korean won ($12.8 billion approx.) in operating profits for the quarter, nearly tripling (178% up) from a year earlier. Tata to merge consumer mobile business with Airtel

Bharti Airtel and Tata today announced that they have entered into an agreement to merge Consumer Mobile Businesses (CMB) of Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) and Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Limited (TTML) into Bharti Airtel. As a part of the deal, Airtel will take over Tata’s consumer operations across the country in nineteen circles (17 under TTSL and 2 under TTML) with over 40 million customers joining Airtel and assets of Tata CMB.
