US Govt temporarily lifts ban on ZTE, allows to update phones and other equipment

The US Commerce Department has temporarily lifted a portion of the ban on ZTE. The company had to pay $1 billion fine and is now authorized by the United States to continue supporting the existing equipment and consumer devices. This also is designed to keep the company’s infrastructure running and allow it to deliver software/security patch updates to its smartphones. Microsoft’s low-cost Surface tablet with 24W charger passes through the FCC

Microsoft is said to be working on a cheaper $400 Surface tablet and now it appears to have passed through the FCC this week. However, it doesn’t offer more details except that it will come with 24W charger from the Pro 4. The upcoming Microsoft device is said to come with a model number ‘1824 and will use a Qualcomm WiFi/BT module. OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T OxygenOS Beta update brings Treble support, new user interface and more

OnePlus has released new beta updates (Beta 13 for the OnePlus 5 and Open Beta 11 for OnePlus 5T) for the OnePlus 5 and 5T smartphones that finally brings support for Project Treble. The company said that it has finally found a solution to bring Treble support after several months of evaluation and hard work, even though last year it said that old devices won’t get Project treble.
