OPPO R17 with 6.4-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 670, 8GB RAM, in-display fingerprint sensor surfaces

An OPPO smartphone surfaced on TENAA recently, which was believed to be R17, but it turned out to be the F9. Recently OPPO smartphone with model numbers PBEM00 and PBET00, which is said to be R17 with an in-display fingerprint sensor, and the PAGM00 and PAGT00 cheaper R17 models are said to feature rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Now the complete specifications of the R17 and the successor of the R15 series has surfaced, which reveals that it will be powered by upcoming Snapdragon 670 SoC and there are also chances for the smartphone to feature Corning Gorilla Glass 6.

OPPO F9 Pro specifications detailed ahead of India launch – 6.3-inch FHD+ 19:9 display, 25MP AI front camera, dual rear cameras

OPPO is all set to launch F9 Pro smartphone, successor of OPPO F7 in India later this month. Now the company has confirmed the specifications of the F9 smartphone in Vietnam, which will launch as F9 Pro in India. This reveals that the company will retain the MediaTek Helio P60 12nm SoC and the 25MP front-facing camera for the smartphone.

Google has acquired GraphicsFuzz which is a company specializing in mobile graphics benchmarking tools, for an undisclosed amount. GraphicsFuzz is a three-person team-Alastair Donaldson, Hugues Evrard, and Paul Thomson and they will be joining Google’s Android Graphics Team to integrate their specialist graphics driver testing technology within the Android ecosystem. AR Stickers v1.3 reduces app size by making Star Wars and Stranger Things packs optional

Google’s AR Stickers app was launched with a handful of stickers built right within the app’s download section. However, Google, over the time kept making each pack as separate apps that need to be downloaded to use, leaving ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Stranger Things’ as the only pre-installed ones. After getting certified by the FCC last month, the Xiaomi POCOPHONE  F1 has surfaced in an online listing the shows the images, reveals specifications and the price of the phone. This shows a 5.99-inch FHD+ screen with 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch, Snapdragon 845 SoC with support for liquid cooling and 6GB RAM, 12MP+ 5MP dual rear cameras, 20MP front camera, fingerprint sensor on the back and a 4000mAh battery with fast charging.

Google confirms Android 9.0 ‘P’ as Pie; Stable update released for Pixel smartphones, Essential Phone

Google has finally confirmed that Android 9.0 ‘P’ will be called Pie, couple of week before the rumored date. It has also released final stable update for Pixel smartphones that can be downloaded from Android developer website here and also started rolling out OTA update (OTA images) for those who have signed up for beta program. It is also pushing sources to Android Open Source Project (AOSP).
