Samsung to acquire Zhilabs AI-based network and service analytics company to enhance 5G capabilities

Samsung has announced that it will acquire Zhilabs, known for its Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based network and service analytics, to further enhance its 5G capabilities. This will boost 5G offerings of automation and network analytics to finely tune the customer experiences in the 5G era. The company last month commited KRW 25 trillion investment over the next three years to acquire companies to boost artificial intelligence (AI), 5G, automotive electronics components and biopharmaceuticals.

Google to charge smartphone manufacturers in Europe for using its app suite

Back in July European Commision has fined Google with $5.04 billion for misusing its position and forcing its apps on Android manufacturers. While Google appealed the decision last week, it is also working on how to comply with the decision. Huawei Mate 20 Pro with 6.39-inch QHD+ OLED HDR display, Leica Triple rear cameras, in-display fingerprint sensor and Mate 20 announced

Huawei today announced its flagship Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro smartphones at an event in London, as it had promised. Both these have OLED DCI-P3 HDR Displays, but the Mate 20 Pro comes with 6.39-inch QHD+ screen with 86.90 screen-to-body ratio, while the Mate 20 comes with a 6.53-inch FHD+ screen with 88.07% screen-to-body ratio. These are powered by Kirin 980 7nm SoC with Dual NPU and run Android 9.0 (Pie) with EMUI 9.0 on top. The Mate 20 Pro has an in-display fingerprint scanner with 10-level Dynamic Pressure Sensing (DPS) technology and 3D Face Unlock as well as 3D Live Emoji and AI live model that lets you record it moving and dancing on your desk. Amazon just launched New Kindle Paperwhite e-reader with a waterproof body with IPX8 ratings to protect against immersion in up to two metres of fresh water for up to 60 minutes, similar to the Kindle Oasis (2017). Meizu Note 8 with 6-inch FHD+ display, dual rear cameras to be announced on October 25

Meizu has announced that it will introduce the Note 8, a mid-range smartphone on October 25th. The smartphone has already been certified by TENAA with the model number M822Q that revealed 6-inch Full HD+ screen, 12-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash along with a 5-megapixel secondary camera for portrait shots, 1.8GHz Octa Core SoC, which could be Snapdragon 636, rear mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3500mAh battery.
