Google rolls out May 2019 Android security update for Pixel devices, also available for Essential Phone

Google has started rolling out new over-the-air (OTA) update for Pixel devices and also posted factory images as part of monthly Android Security release. New OPPO Reno with 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, 32MP front camera, in-display fingerprint scanner gets certified

OPPO launched new Reno series last month, now a new PCDT10 / PCDM10 model with a 32-megapixel front camera has been certified by TENAA in China. This has a 6.4-inch Full HD + AMOLED Dewdrop notch display, 32-megapixel front camera compared to 16-megapixel, different dimensions, and also has a bigger 4000mAh battery compared to 3765mAh battery on the standard edition. It will be powered by a 2.2GHz Octa-Core SoC, which should be the Snapdragon 710, same as the standard edition Reno model.

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 into space to take some shots and brought it back in functioning condition

Xiaomi has announced that it launched the Redmi Note 7 (Chinese 48MP version) into space and back. It traveled 35,375 meters above sea level, with external temperature of -58°C, internal temperature of 4°C, 1 KPA atmospheric pressure, and it was still working perfectly after it came back, said the company.

Realme X with Snapdragon 730 likely to launch in India soon as it receives BIS certification

Realme launched its latest smartphone, Realme 3 Pro in India last month. Recently, a new Realme smartphone named Realme X with the no-notch display was certified by TENAA in China. In similar lines, Realme X has now received the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification suggesting that the launch of the smartphone in India is imminent, after the China launch this month.

OnePlus 7 / 7 Pro doesn’t have IP ratings for water resistance, but the company dunked it in water anyway — Here’s why

OnePlus has posted a video on its social channels posted a video that says “Water resistant ratings for phones cost you money.  We bought something less expensive instead.” After that, it shows the OnePlus 7 Pro dropped into a bucket that is filled with water. This shows that the OnePlus 7 series have daily water resistance, similar to the OnePlus 6 and the 6T, even though they are not IP certified.
