HTC has announced U12 Life, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone ahead of IFA, as expected. It has a 6-inch Full HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display, is powered by Snapdragon 636 with 4GB of RAM, has a 16-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel secondary rear camera to capture portrait shots, Dual LED display, along with a 13-megapixel front camera with LED flash.
Update – August 30: After beta update recently, Xiaomi has finally announced that it will roll out MIUI Global Stable ROM based on Android 8.1 (Oreo) update later this week.

Xiaomi has posted a teaser confirming the launch of three new smartphones in the Redmi 6 series – Redmi 6, Redmi 6A and the Redmi 6 Pro. The company already confirmed that it will not launch the Mi A2 Lite in India, so it will be launching the Redmi 6 Pro instead. The event is set for September 5th.

LG has introduced world’s first 8K (7680 x 4320) OLED TV at the IFA 2018 in Berlin. It features over 33 million self-emitting pixels offering the best contrast ratio and true blacks. LG did not reveal any details about the TV, but said that it will continue to increase the OLED share in its premium TV portfolio and drive large scale consumer adoption of OLED TVs. Meizu introduced the 6T smartphone in China recently, now a new smartphone with a model number M816Q has been certified by TENAA in China, which could be launched as the M8 Lite. This reveals a similar 5.7-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass screen with 18:9 aspect ratio, but it will be powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor, run Android 8.1 (Oreo) with Flyme OS on top, feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has just been four months since Motorola announced the Moto G6 series, now live images of the Moto G7 has surfaced. It is being tested as Moto G6 Plus, and the first big change is the water drop notch design, which is a trend these days. The notch houses a camera, and the fingerprint sensor that was present below the screen on the Moto G6 and the G6 Plus is missing, so it is now on the back of the phone with a Motorola logo, similar to the Moto G6 Play.

ZTE’s Nubia brand has finally announced that its flagship Nubia Z18 smartphone will be introduced on September 5th in China. It got certified by TENAA back in April. The company has confirmed water drop screen for the smartphone, as rumored earlier, as well AI features for the camera.
