Reliance Jio reports Rs. 891 crore profit in FY Q1 2019-20, JioGigaFiber trials in final stages

Reliance Jio has reported Rs. 11679 crore revenue, up 5.2 % QoQ and 44% YoY and a net profit of 891 crore, up 6.1% QoQ and 45.6% YoY for its eigth quarterly financial performance for the period that ended 30th June
2019.  Jio reported Standalone earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of 4,686 crore, up 8.2% QoQ, EBITDA margin of 40.1%, and Standalone earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) of 3,029 crore, up 17.2% QoQ . ASUS ROG Phone II with 6.59-inch FHD+ OLED 120Hz display, Snapdragon 855 Plus, 12GB RAM, 6000mAh battery gets certified

ASUS is all set to introduce the ROG Phone II, the company’s second-generation gaming smartphone in China on July 23rd. It also confirmed 120Hz display and Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC for the smartphone. Now the phone has been certified by TENAA with the model numbers ASUS_I001DA and  ASUS_I001DB confirming all the specifications of the phone including a 6.59-inch FHD+ OLED screen, up to 12GB RAM and up to 1TB storage, 48-megapixel rear camera and a 24-megapixel front camera. The image shows a secondary rear camera, but the camera details are not mentioned.

Xiaomi launched its Redmi K20 smartphone in India earlier this week starting at Rs. 21,999. We already brought you the unboxing of the phone, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. The Redmi K20 is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 730 8nm Mobile Platform with 2 x Kryo 470 Performance CPUs (A76-based) at up to 2.2GHz and 6x Kryo 470 Efficiency CPUs (A55-based) at up to 1.8GHz, has Adreno 618 GPU, 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB UFS 2.1 storage. OPPO K3 with 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 710, up to 8GB RAM, in-display fingerprint scanner launched in India starting at Rs. 16990

OPPO just launched OPPO K3, successor of OPPO K1 that was launched back in February. It packs a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display from Samsung with 91.1% screen-to-body ratio, DC dimming, next-gen in-display fingerprint scanner that is 28.5% faster with 10% success rate in unlocking, is powered by Snapdragon 710 with up to 8GB of RAM, GameBoost 2.0, runs Android Pie with Color OS 6.0 on top, features a 16-megapixel rear camera along with a 2-megapixel secondary camera. Vivo Y7s with 6.38-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, 6GB RAM, triple rear cameras, in-display fingerprint scanner announced

After the S1 smartphone that was introduced in Indonesia earlier this week, Vivo has introduced Y7s for China, which has a 16-megapixel front camera instead of 32-megapixel camera and has 6GB of RAM. Other features including a 6.39-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with about 90% screen-to-body ratio, MediaTek Helio P65 12nm SoC, 16MP primary sensor with f/1.78 aperture, 8MP ultrawide sensor and an 2MP depth sensor. Xiaomi starts crowdfunding for Mi Rechargeable LED Lamp in India for Rs. 1299

After teasers last month, Xiaomi today opened crowdfunding for its Mi Rechargeable LED Lamp in India. The company says that it is a perfect emergency light solution since it is portable, offering up to 5 days of battery life (if you use it in minimum brightness for 8 hours a day) and 3 brightness levels — 4500k, 3200k and 2600k with 10 lumens brightness. You can switch the brightness and color temperature with a button.

Samsung Galaxy A10e with 5.8-inch Infinity-V display, Android Pie starts rolling out

Samsung launched the Galaxy A10 smartphone in the ‘A series’ in India earlier this year. Last month it introduced the Galaxy A10e in the US, today it has started rolling out the phone in the US for AT&T and Boost Mobile. It has a smaller 5.83-inch HD+ Infinity-V display, is powered by Exynos 7884 Octa-Core processor, runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with Samsung One UI, comes with a single 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera with face unlock. Xiaomi Mi A3 with 6-inch AMOLED display, triple rear cameras, 32MP front camera, in-display fingerprint sensor announced

Xiaomi just announced Mi A3, which is an Android One version of the  CC9e smartphone that was introduced earlier this month in China. It has a 6.088-inch HD+ AMOLED display, is powered by Snapdragon 665 11nm SoC with 4GB of RAM, runs Android 9.0 (Pie), has seventh gen in-display fingerprint scanner with a 15% increased fingerprint detection area, 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.79 aperture, 8-megapixel 118° ultra-wide angle lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 32-megapixel front camera sensor that merges four pixels to form large 1.6μm pixels for better low-light images and AI beautify mode. HUAWEI starts rolling out EMUI 9.1 update for P20 Lite in India, coming to Nova 3, Nova 3i, Mate 20 Pro, P20 Pro and more soon

HUAWEI unveiled EMUI 9.1 alongside the P30 Pro earlier this year and it recently started rolling out the update HUAWEI Mate 20 Series which includes Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X, and Porsche Design Mate 20 RS globally. Today the company announced that it has started rolling out the update for P20 Lite users in India. Huawei Y9 2019, Huawei Nova 3i, Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Huawei Nova 3 will receive the update in the second phase, next week, beginning 24th July.

World Emoji Day: Apple previews 59 new emojis including Sari, Sloth, Guide Dog and more coming to iOS and Mac this year

Apple on the occasion of ‘World Emoji Day’ announced that more than 60 new emoji characters are coming to iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac later this year via software update. These new emojis are based on the characters from Unicode 12.0 that were approved earlier this year, some of these such as guide dog, an ear with a hearing aid, wheelchairs, a prosthetic arm and a prosthetic leg were proposed by Apple last year. Xiaomi Mi Neckband Bluetooth Earphones launched in India for Rs. 1599

At the Redmi K20 series launch, Xiaomi also launched the Mi Neckband Bluetooth Earphones in the country. It has support for Bluetooth 5.0, features a micro-arc collar design, features dynamic bass with tri-band equalization and promises up to 8 hours of battery life. The company launched Mi Sports Bluetooth Earphones Basic earlier this year.

Xiaomi Mi 27W SonicCharge Superfast charger launched in India for Rs. 999

Along with the K20 series smartphones Xiaomi also launched its new 27W Superfast charger, which it calls SonicCharge adapter, as expected. The company launched the 18W Quick Charge 3.0 charger last year. The new 27W SonicCharge fast charger will be useful for those who have Redmi K20 Pro since it comes only with 18W charger in the box. Xiaomi only mentions Quick Charge 3.0 support for the new charger on the site.
