vivo X60 gets a price cut in India, now starts at Rs. 34990

vivo launched the X60 series smartphones in India back in March with the X60 starting at Rs. 37,990 for the X60 8GB + 128GB and Rs. 41,990 for the 12GB + 256GB. Today the company has announced a price cut for both the variants. The X60 8GB + 128GB is now available for Rs. 34,990 after a Rs. 3000 price cut, and the 12GB + 256GB version has received a Rs. 2000 price cut and is available for Rs. 39,990. Motorola edge 20 fusion and edge 20 with FHD+ AMOLED display, 108MP rear camera, 32MP front camera launched in India starting at Rs. 21499

Motorola just launched the edge 20 and edge 20 fusion smartphones in the new edge 20 series in India, as it had promised. Both these pack a 6.7″ AMOLED, 10-bit colour screen with DCI-P3 colour space and HDR10+ with edge 20  featuring 144Hz refresh rate and Snapdragon 778G SoC and the fusion model has a 90Hz refresh rate and is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC. ZTE Axon 30 with 6.92-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 870, under screen camera global roll out begins September 9

ZTE announced the Axon 30 smartphone in China last month. As it had promised, today it has confirmed the global pricing and roll out details of the phone outside China. The phone is priced at $499 (Rs. 37,011 approx.) / €499/ £429 for 8GB+128GB version and $599 (Rs. 44,430  approx.) / €599/ £519 for 12GB+256GB version. ASUS ROG Phone 5s with 6.78-inch FHD+ 144Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 888+, up to 18GB RAM announced

ASUS just introduced the ROG Phone 5s, the company’s latest flagship gaming smartphone, in Taiwan as the successor to the ROG Phone 5 which was launched earlier this year. It retains the 6.78-inch Full HD+ Samsung’s E4 AMOLED HDR display with 144Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch-sampling rate, 24.3ms touch latency and has up to 18GB of RAM and up to 512GB storage, but this is powered by Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC. Samsung just launched its Galaxy Z Flip3 5G and Galaxy Z Fold3 5G foldable 5G smartphones in India, after they were introduced last week. The Z Flip3 comes in Phantom Black and Cream colours and starts at Rs. 88,999 and the Z Fold3 comes in Phantom Black and Phantom Green colours and starts at Rs. 1,49,999 in India. The company has also announced introductory offers for pre-booking the phone starting August 24 till September 09, 2021 before they go on sale from September 10. After introducing 80W wireless charging stand back in March this year, Xiaomi last week along with the Mi MIX 4 introduced 100W Mi Wireless Charging Stand, even though the company is yet to launch a phone to support it. It still has Qi charging tech and retains the dual-coil design. There is a dynamic fan that turns on when needed to cool down the charger. Simple One Electric Scooter with 105km top speed, up to 236KM range, removable battery pack launched in India for Rs. 1.10 lakh

Simple Energy, a new start up, has launched the Simple One, the company’s first electric scooter in India.  It has a patented PMSM motor with up to 4.5 KW nominal power and 72NM peak torque that can go from 0 to 40kmph in just 2.95 seconds and has a top speed of 105kmph with 100/80-12F & (with 110/80-12) R tyres and 98Kmph with 90/90-12 F&R tyres. There are Four modes – Eco, Ride, Dash and Sonic. The scooter has IP67 ratings for the whole scooter, battery pack and the display and a gradability of 20°. Google Pixel 5a 5G components surface revealing 4680mAh battery, could launch on August 17

A report from last week revealed the complete specifications of the upcoming Pixel 5a 5G, a mid-range Pixel phone from Google ahead of Google Pixel 6 launch later this fall. Now the  images of Pixel 5a components have surfaced. This matches with the earlier renders, and it said to offer a rubber-like matte finish back and will retain the 3.5mm audio jack. Ola Electric just launched its first electric scooter, the Ola S1 in India. There is also an S1 Pro model with upgraded specifications. It has a powerful Hyperdrive motor with up to 8.5kW peak power and 58NM peak torque that can go from 0 to 40kmph in just 3 seconds, 0 to 60kmph in just 5 seconds and has a top speed of 115kmph, faster than the Ather 450X. There are three modes – Normal, Sport and Hyper, and there is also cruise control that maintains the same speed with a press of a button. PLAYGO BH22 Review — Wireless Headphones with long battery life

PLAY, an Indian start-up popular for its accessories, launched the PLAYGO BH22 Wireless Headphones recently. It has 40mm EBEL Drivers with Dual Equalizer, features a lightweight foldable design, and it connects via Bluetooth 5.0 that promises a long 35 hours of listening time, and it even has an AUX port for wired operation in case the battery runs out. Partners Group acquires ACT Fibernet in deal valued at Rs. 6750 crore

Partners Group, a leading global private markets firm, has announced that it has agreed to acquire 75% controlling stake in fiber-optic broadband provider Atria Convergence Technologies (“ACT” or “the Company”) in a transaction that values the company at an enterprise value of nearly US$ 1.2 billion (Rs.9000 crore).
