RedMagic 6S Pro with 6.8-inch FHD+ 165Hz AMOLED display, 720Hz touch sampling, Snapdragon 888+, up to 18GB RAM announced

nubia’s RedMagic today announced the RedMagic 6S Pro, the company’s latest flagship gaming phone in China. It features a 6.8-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with 165Hz refresh rate, 720Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate and touch response time of 7.4ms.The adaptive refresh rate can be switched between 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, and 165Hz. The screen has 10-bit color and DC dimming. There is a new mappable touchpad area on the back called “M key” for more controls and an enhanced console-like mobile gaming experience. The “M key” allows users to customize either one or two actions by sliding across the touchpad to activate. Mi TV 5X 43-inch Review

Xiaomi launched the Mi TV 5X series in India last month as the successor to Mi TV 4X series launched in 2019. This year the company has launched 43″, 50″ and 55″ 4K TV models in the country. All these have HDR 10, HDR 10+, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and also feature a metallic bezel-less finish, making these a major upgrade compared to the Mi TV 4X series. Google Pixel Buds A-Series Review

Google launched its first Pixel Buds in several countries including the US last year priced at US$179, but it didn’t  launch in India. After introducing the Pixel Buds A-Series, a cheaper version of the Pixel Buds back in June at US$ 99, it was launched in India a few weeks back for Rs. 9999. Even though it retains the same design, Adaptive Sound, 12mm drivers and the same battery life from the Pixel Buds, this misses some features like the volume control, wireless charging, water resistance for the case. vivo X70, X70 Pro and X70 Pro+ detailed specifications surface ahead of announcement on September 9

vivo already confirmed that it will introduce the vivo X70 series smartphones that includes X70, X70 Pro and X70 Pro+ in China on September 9th. It also shared an image of the X70 Pro+ with ZEISS optics with T* coating, ZEISS VARIO TESSAR 1.57-3.4 aperture / 14-125 ASPH lens. Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 5G 4nm SoC with Cortex-X2 CPU, Adreno 730 GPU surfaces in benchmarks

Qualcomm is all set to introduce Snapdragon 898 (SM8450), the company’s upcoming 5G Mobile Platform as the successor to Snapdragon 888 / 888+ in a few months. The chip has surfaced in benchmark of a vivo test device fomr China with the model number V2102A with 8GB of RAM, running Android 12. According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the SoC will use Samsung’s 4nm process technology, and the prime core will feature the new Cortex-X2 CPU compared to Cortex-X1 in the Snapdragon 888. Redmi Note 8 Pro MIUI Software Update Tracker [MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 rolling out in India widely]

WhatsApp hit with €225 million fine for breaching EU privacy law

The Data Protection Commission (DPC) has finished the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) investigation it conducted on WhatsApp in Ireland that commenced in December 2018. This was to examine whether WhatsApp has discharged its GDPR transparency obligations with regard to the provision of information and the transparency of that information to both users and non-users of WhatsApp’s service. Redmi 10 Prime with 6.5-inch FHD+ 90Hz display, Helio G88, 50MP quad rear cameras, 6000mAh battery launched in India starting at Rs. 12499

Redmi just launched the Redmi 10 Prime, the company’s latest smartphone in the Redmi series as the successor to last year Redmi 9 Prime in India, as it had promised. It has a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with AdaptiveSync 90Hz (45/60/90Hz) refresh rate, Reading mode 3.0, and it is the first phone to be powered by MediaTek Helio G88 SoC. It comes with up to 6GB of RAM with up to 2GB of memory expansion. The phone has a 50MP rear camera, a first of its kind in its category, accompanied by 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.
